Seems to me that “Mandatory Palestine” was just some name made up in 1920 for an area that had always been called the land of Israel.

The so called “Palestinian arabs” were just Jordanian Arabs (or perhaps Syrian Arabs) as “Palestine” was never a real country

Seems to me that “Mandatory Palestine” was just some name made up in 1920 for an area that had always been called the land of Israel.

Names tend to have a history. "Land of Israel" is a traditional Biblical name.

The British Mandate for Palestine, also known as the Mandate for Palestine or the Palestine Mandate, was a League of Nations mandate for the territory that had formerly constituted the Ottoman Empire sanjaks of Nablus, Acre, the Southern part of the Vilayet of Syria,[1] the Southern portion of the Beirut Vilayet, and the Mutasarrifate of Jerusalem, prior to the Armistice of Mudros.

In 135 CE, the Greek "Syria Palaestina" [b] was used in naming a new Roman province from the merger of Roman Syria and Roman Judaea after the Roman authorities crushed the Bar Kokhba Revolt. There is only circumstantial evidence linking Hadrian with the name change and the precise date is not certain.[23] The common view that the name change was intended "sever the connection of the Jews to their historical homeland" is disputed.[24]
