Late last week, a top FBI lawyer named James Baker was reassigned. The Washington Post said it was part of FBI Director Christopher Wray

Confusing column, to put it mildly. I read his Oct. 2016 column and it says that the FBI was offered Hillary's missing emails and turned them down before deciding not to indict her, so basically he's saying now that she could be indicted if they decide to take another look and should have been pardoned before Obama left office. Why she should have been pardoned is the mystery. Sounds more like she should be in jail by now. Am I reading this wrong?

I don’t understand. Since when is it the FBI’s job to “prosecute” anyone. Isn’t that the DOJ’s job, the AG’s job?

If you look closely at the sordid politics of the FBI for the last 25 years, you will see that the FBI, via the DOJ, was the center of political corruption for the Clintons and Obama.

It makes sense - the FBI has broad, near monopolistic power over the investigation of Federal and political crimes. If an investigation doesn’t occur, the crime simply didn’t happen.

One of Bill Clinton’s first acts after taking office was to manufacture a scandal surrounding Reagan FBI Director William Sessions and create a reason to fire him. Sessions was replaced with Clinton crony Louis Freeh.

How do we know there was no ‘secret’ pardon and she has it in her possession at all times?......................

Just ask Comey about whether the FBI should decide who to prosecute.

Hillary was not charged with any particular crime yet, so any pardon would not have have been sound or enforceable. Whether she’s ever charged with anything, remains to be seen. Jeff Sessions has declared her “off limits” according to many, and recused himself from anything related to her, past or present, according to his recent statements under oath.

There’s no law that mandates pardons be made public until they’re presented as defense against prosecution.

Not really likely a secret pardon would not be leaked, but it seems to be a real possibility.

omeone did gently broach that subject on her behalf.

I really don't think Hussein loves Mrs Bill very much and a gentle approach would have been sniffed at.

I think a “secret” pardon would be disallowed when the contention reaches the USSC as being NOT a pardon at all. I don’t think there can be a secret pardon.

Where is Hillary these days?

Judging from her Twitter activity, she's just keeping busy raising money for her various scam groups ("resist", "Onward Together", etc.).

A promise/guarantee not to prosecute from the AG due to recusal is a practical pardon. Lois Lerner was pardoned.

He’s not saying that she “should have been pardoned”, but rather that she should have sought and secured a pardon if she wanted to assure that she is never held accountable for her crimes.

From the NY Post article:

I said a long time ago and repeated often that the Democrats should back off their insistence that the events leading up to the 2016 election should be investigated.

Investigators might get President Trump on something. But Democrats are also likely to get tangled up in all this — as seems to now be happening.

I’ll say it again: Hillary Clinton should have secured a pardon before President Barack Obama left the White House. And, in fact, I’m told by a good source that someone did gently broach that subject on her behalf.

This POS NY Post reporter has no problem revealing his political stripes as being firmly in Clinton's corner.

According to him, her corrupt, treasonous activities could have been handled with an Obama pardon and therefore would have left other equally corrupt, treasonous Democrats not vulnerable to indictment and prison.

"Equal justice for all" and the rule of law be damned in this reporter's eyes - if it involves a Democrat.

What a POS!

What he’s saying in a nutshell is Hillary should have been pardoned so Dems would not be exposed in the investigation can of worms they and NeverTrump Republicans unleashed on President Trump. Well too bad, so sad if Dems are feeling the heat. The turnabout couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of slithering rat basturds.

She was pardoned when Comey did not charge her citing “she did not intend” to break the law. She gummed up the works by losing.
