Starting Jan. 1, anyone 21 and older will be able to legally buy marijuana in California with just an ID.
However, only shops with both local permits and state licenses to sell recreational cannabis will be able to open their doors to customers who dont have doctors recommendations for medical marijuana.
The Bureau of Cannabis Control on Dec. 14 started issuing temporary licenses for recreational marijuana sales. Heres a map of every shop thats so far sanctioned to sell cannabis to adults on New Years Day. The map will be updated frequently, with new state licenses issued each day.

Man all this weed smokin is gonna give the rest of the country a Contact High
See my post above.
People are going to smoke pot in California now?
Oh my...
A gram of what? I can buy grams all day here in Washington fro $12 and up.
Not according to my kids, they were shocked about how many kids used drugs in Colorado. Most of them vape the stuff, and regularly do it at school.
On the other hand, you can’t walk through Walmart or Home Depot without getting gagged by the smell of the stuff on adults.
I’m enjoying Obama Kush right now. It’s smome is so smooth it’s like vaping!
I ride DART here in Dallas, inevitably some black guy will come on the train reeking of the stuff, smells like a dead skunk.
50$ a gram!!!???
You gotta kidding!?
Back when I used to smoke, it was 45$ for 3.5 grams of the sticky icky, around 300-350 for an ounce of very good kine bud, and then there was this one dude who would charge around 400-450 for an ounce of the very best head weed you could ever hope to find.
50$ a gram is stupid expensive.
Whats with this ID business? You need an ID to buy marijuana but dont need an ID to vote??????
So racist!
Now our undocumented illegal voters can’t buy their weed!
For your interest.
You sure?
Unless I am mistaken, marijuana production and sale is still a federal crime. Can’t the feds arrest them all anytime they like? How do these purveyors sleep at night? Doesn’t federal law need to be reconciled?
Eh...not exactly true. Not true at all actually. Been a medical patient in CA since the early adoption in the 90’s. Bought plenty of guns above board between then and now.
I clicked Abuse on your behalf.
As of this year each adult in California can raise 6 plants and harvest them for personal use.

During the great fire evacuation, we went to the coast and stayed. The first night at dinner we met two women from Sebastapol, Ca., who were feeling no pain.
We got into discussing this new issue. They said that where they lived, the limit was 2 dozen plants per adult.
I haven’t been able to confirm this. Sonoma County has been pro weed since the late 1960’s. So this wouldn’t surprise me.
Who Had Scales?
It was measures by “Fingers!”
Four finger lid...10 bucks.
That’s what this guy told me.
4 gram 8ths for 30 bucks here in California for top shelf flower, before the taxes.
Let you know in a week when I re-up what the taxes are....the budtenders are telling everyone to get their medical paperwork updated before January. Something expensive is headed this way.
6 plants in the backyard is an option I suppose.
You posted this and then clicked the abuse button?
Oh, it’s dark in your Mom’s basement, isn’t it?
Soon, Christmas vacation will be over and you can go back to school and talk to your regular counselor.
“Remember. If you are recognized as a marijuana user either medicinal or recreational, by the Feds. You lose your right to keep and bear arms. If you get a prescription for same, you will fail a NICS check.”

“So IOW, there will be lots more teenagers smoking dope in Cali and surrounding counties”
It’s a plant. Knew people that grew it when they were 12.
Heck, my 4th grade science project was multiple houseplants.
