The Democratic Party, on Wednesday, voted overwhelmingly for Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) to replace resigned Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) on the House Judiciary Committee. Nadler, a constitutional law expert, won the spot over Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA), an architect of immigration legislation, by secret ballot with 118 to 72 votes.
The Washington Post noted on Thursday that the decision to fill their top spot on the committee demonstrates the Democratic Party’s willingness “[t]o ready themselves for a battle with Trump that could end with impeachment proceedings.”
Should the Democrats regain control of the House during next year’s mid-term elections, they intend to lay the groundwork to get Trump impeached.
“There is nobody better prepared, if the president messes around with the Constitution, to handle it than Jerry Nadler,” Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-NY) said after Wednesday’s vote, according to the Washington Post.
For several months now, Democratic leadership, including Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), have pushed their party to put a lid on impeachment talks.

Tax relief, jobs, restrictions lifted, drilling for our own cheaper energy, and a few more.. and the dems will have a hard time getting a majority to go along with them on this. They so misjudge the pulse of the people in our land. A little more of America’s greatness, and the media won’t be able to fool anyone.... success is hard to cover up.

I think that’s why this investigation into Uranium 1 is getting underway. The statue of limitations has run out so there can be no convictions, but the investigation would reveal all the corruption of MuleFace and all his cohorts to the point where Sessions would have to let them all go just to maintain the FBI’s image...whatever that is now since it’s been pretty much destroyed by liberalism.

Assume the Rats will try to impeach, if that’s what it takes to me sure people get their butts to the voting booth, then so be it.
Threats. Just empty threats. They got NOTHING, and they show it at every opportunity.
To even implement such a threat, they have to have a credible chance of even being competitive in the 2018 elections. Right now, the Republican majority has the world by the tail with a downhill pull, and the Democrats can cry foul all they like, but they are being beaten at their own game.
They are still left defending a crumbling Obamacare scheme, and every day a little more of the infrastructure of that monstrosity continues to crumble. Besides that, the ties with the Deep State that grow ever more obvious each day will sink a lot of candidacies before they even launch, so the already thin and ageing pool shall only diminish further.
The Democrats, at the moment are not in a particularly advantageous position.

Don’t think of the Democratic Party 2017 as an opposition party. They are a Revolutionary Party, and will condescend to use a fig leaf of Constitutionality only once all other options are exhausted.
I am sure there are enough Never Trumpers in the ranks of the GOPe to impeach and convict even if the Democrats do not gain solid majorities in Congress. As to the crime, give Mueller the target and he will find the crime to fit. Despite the tax cut win, the President is still a hated man in the swamp.
The DemonRAT’s open borders brought us deaths from criminal illegal aliens and the heroin overdoses from the Mexican poppy fields. Heroin overdoses alone cost us more than 63,600 lives. America should understand that the DemonRATs are fully responsible for this. They have turned their backs to what essentially is a terrorist attack just to benefit their voter base. This is why I call them DemonRATs (the capitalization of “RAT” is my subliminal message to these SOBs).
