OTOH the law can't function without deterrence. There will have to be due process for anyone who weaponized the national security apparatus or the legal system against political opponents. But that kind of investigation is best done very quietly. I would like to see some results eventually but I am very patient.

Foremost in the conservative cause is the respect for the rule for law. What you are suggesting is playing games with law enforcement. There are many problems with your suggestion. For one thing, every one of Hillary's underlings that helped her with "grossly negligent" use of a private server to leak classified material was given immunity. Hillary can't be prosecuted for very much since she didn't purposely leak, her underlings did it for her.
Given the way the FBI takes people down you’re better off not remembering than misremembering.

I’ve been screaming for a year for Trump to stop this and to begin a real investigation of the real felons involved. Incredibly all the felons and their conspiracy is being exposed via their own devices. Trump’s hands off approach makes this evidence beyond the reproach of the Rats and their MSM stooges. I can’t begin to claim that I can see what Trump’s end game is. The Rats must be apoplectic, stunned and feeling totally helpless.

A Congressman said last night that closed door sessions are used to bring congressman in and declare the testimony secret so they can no longer talk about it. He said he wouldn't fall for that. New kid, looks promising sorry but can't remember is name.
One of his duties as expressed in the Constitution is to assure the laws are justly enforced. Maybe he should start there since Sessions sure isn't doing it.

Well, to be entirely fair, Hillary HAS been in Purgatory for quite some time now. Could make the case that she’s been there since 2008. So there might just be something to that after all.
It is my belief that Sessions is holding his cards very close to the vest. He’s waiting for the OIG to finish his investigation and release the final report. If, as I anticipate, there will be findings of serious misdeeds both at the FBI and the DOJ, Sessions can then say with a straight face that in view of the findings by the IOG, he will have no option but to impanel another Special Counsel to get to the bottom of this.
As there are many, many folks at the DOJ-FBI involved with this it should be fairly easy to get at least one of them to turn stool pigeon. This should hit about June or July and provide a wealth of information for Republicans to campaign on for the midterms.
Someone has set this up masterfully.
