I have still yet to figure out what the compulsion seems to be in Europe, and to a lesser extent here, to bring in massive numbers of immigrants who do not share our culture, values or work ethic. I literally cannot figure out any sane or rational reason for this.

You allowed this to happen! You could have put a stop to this years ago. But NO! You were afraid to be called a bigot, or a hater, or a xenophobe.
What did you think was going to happen when a hoard of people completely foreign to France or Christendom came to your country with few skills and no knowledge or respect for your language or culture and with no desire to learn?
The only real way to deal with this crisis stop the influx of new “refugees” and to repatriate these people to their home country. No amount of money will deal with this problem.
