The Trump administration is prohibiting officials at the nations top public health agency from using a list of seven words or phrases including fetus and transgender in any official documents being prepared for next years budget.
Policy analysts at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta were told of the list of forbidden words at a meeting Thursday with senior CDC officials who oversee the budget, according to an analyst who took part in the 90-minute briefing. The forbidden words are vulnerable, entitlement, diversity, transgender, fetus, evidence-based and science-based.

They call global warming evidence-based.
I had a friend that was an ER doctor in NYC for a number of years... he said to me; “ya know what we call a straight male with HIV? A liar.”
I despise the term “vulnerable”. It’s right up there with [insert grievence group] community- it translates to my money being blown on garbage.
“Yeah, but... The left always demands control of the vocabulary...”
I’m guessing “terrorist”, “radical Islam” and “American” is back in?
‘This nation doesnt speak Latin’
qui postulat quod non loquemur Latine...?
From the article:
“...The forbidden words are vulnerable, entitlement, diversity, transgender, fetus, evidence-based and science-based. ...”
I’m glad to see those words gone !
Oh,how foolish you are! Now,they won't use "fetus" and they won't use "baby".
It will be "parasitic tissue mass".
There isn't such a thing.
Smarty - braccas
...This is a win. Fetus has become a work around so they dont have to use the word baby.”
Abortion of a “fetus” is still murder

I’d rather take George Carlin’s seven words....
There are only two human sexes: male and female, man and woman.
The idea of erroneously applying genders to human beings was only for the purpose of trying to legitimize unhealthy practices and relationships in the minds of the misled and confused. Genders were intended for plants (flowers, for example) and Latin language words.
The compound words staged for further linguistic activism, “evidence-based” and “science-based,” have been used in subjective reports and guides as rhetoric to avoid presenting evidence. Everything in a paper or guide in regards to health should be logical, properly cited where needed and without undue political implications against other properly researched and written reports.
Big win IMHO. Who knew Trump would do this? Let’s see the next R (future) administration explain their backpedaling.
Trump is exposing the uniparty scum, a secondary benefit.
I’m usually against 1984-style restrictions on the words we can use. But “evidence-based” always makes me cringe. It is almost always used to describe a social science solution that never cites anything that I would consider solid evidence. And on what basis did we take action before we had “evidence-based” analysis?
What you said, al fetus, err... I mean al baby!
Thanks for participating, but if you have to ask, no explanation us possible...
Some words have morphed from fact based words to useless opinion-or made-up words. They are NOT synonymous.
