Two Republican senators indicated Thursday they were holding back support for the final $1.5 trillion GOP tax reform bill unless a larger child tax credit is included...The strongest statement came from the office of Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio...Conn Carroll, a spokesman for Utah GOP Sen. Mike Lee, also said Lee is "undecided" on the bill in its current form. Sen. Lee continues to work to make the [child tax credit] as beneficial as possible to American working families," Carroll said.

The child tax credit is how they funnel OUR money to illegal aliens.

Back in the day republican leaders in the senate and house knew how to twist arms, and use the carrot and the stick to keep pisants like Rubio thinking straight.

Is there no limit to the number of children that the child tax credit can be claimed for? I'm digging and haven't found the answer, yet.

Rubio is insisting the rest of us increase subsidies for families with children. I don’t care how they kill this how mess as long as they do.

McConnell is a pathetic loser. Reid would never let a little pipsqueak junior senator hold legislation hostage to his grandstanding.

I’ve said all along that this bill will not pass. It’s the very same maneuvering that killed the Obamacare “repeal” and every other legislative initiative Trump has put forth. McConnell is a snake and all of this is carefully orchestrated and choreographed by wretched Uniparty establishment. It’s going to take nothing less than a good old-fashioned ass-kicking to restore constitutional justice to this country.

Geez, how much of a credit do they want? They would do so much better if they objected to the elimination of personal exemptions and the high-arsed top tax rate and the 30% abomination against pass-thru small businesses instead.
To: wiseprince
21.94% Only government officials would create a tax rate down to the nearest basis point.

A full time, minimum wage parent with two kids will get nothing from the credit under the earlier House plan (example, $14,500 gross per year). Nada. Lower income parents getting a little more than $14,500 would begin to benefit only a little with the advantage slowly increasing with increasingly higher income. Don't know what the new bill says about that--probably about the same.
Also, the House version would fully benefit those receiving up to about $230,000 per year.

The Earned Income Tax Credit was different and did give lower income parents more of a return, if I remember correctly. Don’t know if any the current bills leave it in code.

Sounds like the mormon cult and their members (lee) want to favor the big cult families.
They are American citizens and their elected representative (Sen. Lee) has a right to advocate pro-family policies that benefit them. They also have a constitutional right to freedom of worship.
