Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci said Wednesday that Doug Joness Senate win in Alabama is good day for America because it was a blow to Steve Bannon.
Bannon, a former White House chief strategist, campaigned for Joness GOP challenger, Roy Moore, who lost the race for the vacant Senate seat after weeks of mounting accusations that he sexually molested teenage girls.
That was a good day for America yesterday in the sense that Bannon lost, Scaramucci told Bloomberg News. I dont think it was a great day for the Republican Party either way.

Republiclowns
RINO = Cheap Labor Express Republican, votes for amnesty, tax refunds for illegal aliens (many who paid no taxes), refuses to mandate e-verify, wont fund the wall, wont cut off chain migration and anchor babies, has been supporting a 30 year bipartisan plan to steal the country from the citizens by flooding it with fraudulently documented foreigners, intentionally causing demographic changes that they fight US tooth and nail to preserve while preventing US from doing anything about it.
Well, buddy, any goodwill you had is completely gone, now.
Bannon lost? B. S.
I wrote this on the tread praising Jones for his hard work that resulted in his win. As if...

Sounds like the Mooch holds a grudge.
Prior to winning his primaries against Mo Brooks and Big Luther, nobody had alleged sexual impropriety against Roy Moore. It was those allegations that caused Moore to lose. Put differently, had those allegations not been made, there is no way in the world that Moore would have lost, despite his personality, campaign decisions, reputation in some circles as being “crazy”... Bannon was not wrong for not anticipating the sex and underage dating allegations. After 40 years and several statewide campaigns as well as a primary and a run-off in this race, how could Bannon have expected that? He is a smart guy but not Carnac the Magnificent. Now, there were plenty of contributing factors for the defeat (there always are, esp. when the margin is tight). For just one example, Moore did not help himself with his Hannity interview. There is no way that any of this is Steven Bannon’s fault. But I am all for the GOPe thinking it is Bannon’s fault and marks his demise, because they will leave them even more surprised when he strikes them again. As he will.
What Kimberly Guillfoyle ever saw in him I will never know.
Access to the power and money circle.
Anthony makes the late Rodney King look like a genius. As I recall, Rodney’s IQ was in the 70s. He makes me not want to admit that I am of Italian heritage.
Watch Bannons speech for Roy two months ago. His whole position was that Trump got bad info and that he knows better.
bump
Bottom line is that Bannon was setting himself up to be the kingmaker of elections. He has a lot of irons in the fire for 2018. No he couldnt have anticipated the Moore scandal, but surely he had some discussions with Roy about skeletons. The Hannity interview was a distaster but Bannon stuck by him and doubled down on stupid. This is a combination of miscalculations by Bannon and Moore, ironically, showing bad judgement all the way up to going to an out of state football game the weekend before the election.
I’m still trying to figure out why the hell this spaghetti bender was ever hired by Trump in the first place.
‘spaghetti bender’?
I’ve heard of wop, dago, guinea, ginzo...but never spaghetti bender.
(before anybody takes a shot at me for my use of slurs to describe Itals, my Sicilian DNA gives me a pass)
Just wait, in about six months these same Party pukes will come winking and blinking, tell us how conservative they are and how hard they worked at helping Trump, please believe us this time, we really mean it, we will pass the presidents conservative agenda. Please... If this is all they have, good luck because right now the GOP has been more effective at blocking Trump than any opposition party.
The base has only one reason to vote for these sorry sacks of dog crap, the judiciary, which Trump is filling. If Trump can win another term he might get enough conservative judges on the bench to stave off the communists in both parties from their take over twenty or thirty years. That’s assuming they just don’t seize power and declare the Constitution DOA.
If Trump gets these judges in we might struggle on another generation, because Trump will be the last GOP president, not because they couldn’t win but because they offer no choice to the people other than me-too, me-too!
I actually don’t think that Bannon was running Moore’s campaign. (Was he? IDK) But I don’t think Roy Moore considered dating teenagers (no sex!) a skeleton in his closet. There’s no use going over all this again, it’s all over now, but small town Alabama in the 1970s was a very different time and place, and what is weird and creepy now may not have been, then and there. Moore almost won despite everything so I don’t think this is some great miscalculation by Bannon. I think Moore lost by a lower percentage of the vote than Trump did in the nationwide popular vote (you know, the metric that Hillary thinks matters but which does not!). To me, the big factor here was the sex allegations, which layered on top of the dating teenagers thing, was a killer. And I don’t put that on Bannon.
He was referring more to the point of picking Strange over Brooks. The entire Brietbart push prior to the primary outcome was for Brooks. That is the original point of departure for a lot of people. Why they decided it was a good idea to then move to Moore was a result of their distaste for Strange. It’s that old saying that a strange thing happened on the way to the party, no pun intended.
In my opinion, the establishment could buy Strange far easier than they could Brooks.
It’s a term of endearment. :-)
