Alabama votes on Tuesday in a special election to fill the Senate seat vacated by Jeff Sessions, now the attorney general. The last polls close at 8 p.m. Eastern. Strong support for Roy S. Moore, the Republican, is expected in rural, mostly white parts of the state and in its northern half. The Democrat, Doug Jones, aims to create a lead in the urban counties that include Birmingham and Montgomery, and across a band of largely black counties.
One critical battleground is a trio of smaller, whiter cities: Mobile, Tuscaloosa and Huntsville. Mr. Moore won a hard race in 2012 by keeping things close there. Mr. Jones hopes to win the cities by a convincing margin.

He was a terrible candidate.
Overall, I think FNC / FBN has improved recently (Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Tucker Carlson and a few others), and they're a HELL of lot better than all the others.
Still... My BS meter is always on. I don't believe everything FNC reports. Not by a long shot.
OAN is still a very marginal player... available in only a handful of US households. And OAN called the race tonight for Moore at around 8:01 pm ET! Ridiculous.
Our side even pushed for a write-in which very well could have cost Moore the election.

Moore deserves kudos for the valiant effort he put out against the onslaught.
Hate to lose a solid R seat but there is a bright side. No candidate will have to defend Moore in 2018..we should pick up 6 to 8 Senate seats.

Shelby County is right next to Jefferson. One of the places the middle class fled to to get out of Birmingham.
No doubt about that. I always keep this in mind. We and the president are fighting for the survival of the country. The other side is fighting for the status quo and the country being sold to the highest bidder. We’re on the side of right, not them. Of course we have an uphill fight, but if they win this country is gone for good!

The Dems will always go with that type..we need to be certain that we not nominate anyone even remotely like those two. not saying Moore is..but he did a real poor job of convincing me he doesn’t have some questionable proclivities.

The Deep State does.
Our side has President Trump and... no one.
We need a new party NOW so we can begin electing people from it. The (very) rank-and-file bunch of evil cretins in Washington clearly have NO desire to make the country better or obey the will of the people in any way. They’re too busy paying off sexual misconduct complaints on our dime and strutting around like the narcissists they are.
