There w2as NOTHING complicated about “Do NOT reach your hands in any direction or towards the small of tyour back or behind you- if you do this WILL BE SEEN as a threat and we WILL deal with you in an equally agressive manner-” ( or soemthign to that effect)

Seemed pretty clear to me, Bucky, that the LEO was shrieking at the top of his lungs like a frightened little girl, making a perfectly manageable situation as bad as he possibly could.

But the important thing is that the LEO went home safely to his family that night. Whether anybody else did is irrelevant.

And I hope lawyers wind up owning his house, his vehicles, his bank accounts, his IRAs, etc.

Truly they did. Lots and lots of mistakes made to heighten the officers adrenaline long before Daniel Shaver even made it into the hallway. They didn’t even have a rap sheet, sufficient ammo (officer had to borrow some), room key, understand the noise dampening in the hallway, had to call them from the frontdesk to come out into th hallway where it is very clear both of them are more than startled, had to go back to the front desk to get the keycard....right...these cops had themselves all under control. Baugh!!!

You're interpretation of the whole event is poor. The cop, evaluated with poor job performance ratings, ordered Shaver to crawl on his knees with his legs crossed. You try it. Shaver had underwear that he was losing. So, again, you try crawling on your knees with your underwear falling down. Terrified, Shaver reached to pull up his underwear. That's very clear from the video. He was trying to comply with the officer's orders.

Further, a department investigator, not named in news accounts that I have seen, said that he saw no reason that the officers could not have simply walked over and handcuffed Shaver.

It is clear. The cop was looking for an excuse to execute shaver. He got it, and he shot and killed him.

Murder. Pure and simple.

They had absolute control over him and six cops in the hallway it would have been easy to cut him and get him out of there.
