Students at Oberlin College have long enjoyed pastries, bagels and chocolates from Gibson's Bakery, a century-old, family-owned business near campus. That sweet relationship has turned bitter amid hotly disputed accusations of racism, roiling a school and town long known for their liberal politics.

Maybe Oberlin should cut one of their sensitivity classes for freshman and replace it with a class that teaches the new students that theft is wrong and illegal.
Along with remedial English and math maybe they need remedial morality.
Have you included the teaching and administrative staff? And as for students, the town wherein I lived closed the doors of their markets if/when one or the other or both of their colleges halted classes because of unrest, leaving the student population free time to gut the stores.
Remember it is Possible to go after the PARENTS and their Homeowners Insurance of these Children if they claim them as dependents on their Tax Returns and use their Home as their childrens address

I really don’t recognize this as the United States I grew up in.
For that matter, the entire world doesn’t make any sense anymore. What was the Free World after WW II that had conquered Fascism has now embraced that hideous ideology while calling it Progressivism.

Bottom line is this bakery has been boycotted and lost thousands of dollars in business because they stopped three black students from shoplifting wine. PLUS the towns police record shows that through the years the bakery has gone after 40 shoplifters with only 6 of them being black. So there is no racism. Just don’t steal from them.
That's all that need to be published. The other blather is meant to muddy the waters.
It's more or less like the 'so called' father of the boy who shop-lifted in China. Guilt transference to the president is his only thank you. Here racism is reported to be the real culprit in many people's eyes.
