One of the women accusing Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore of assaulting her as a teenager said on Friday she added the date and venue to an inscription from Moore in her high school yearbook, prompting attacks on her credibility and the competence of her lawyer, Gloria Allred. Many conservatives accused the attorney of mishandling the situation and claimed she'd essentially handed victory to Moore just four days before the election.
Beverly Young Nelson told ABC News she amended an inscription from Moore in her high school yearbook, adding the date and location. Nelson maintained the rest of the note was written by Moore, though he and his lawyers have repeatedly stated he did not sign the yearbook. The inscription states: "To a sweeter more beautiful girl I could not say Merry Christmas. Christmas 1977. Love, Roy Moore, DA. 12-22-77 Olde Hickory House."
In November, Nelson claimed Moore attempted to force her to perform a sex act when she was a teenager in the 1970s and he was the deputy district attorney of Etowah County and in his 30s. She offered the yearbook inscription as evidence to bolster her accusation. At the time, Nelson and her lawyer, Allred, said the inscription was written by Moore and did not mention that Nelson had added the date and location. But Nelson's acknowledgement she wrote part of the note somewhat contradicts that. Some have since claimed Nelson admitted she "forged" the inscription, but this is not the case.
Allred held a press conference on Friday and brought a report from forensic document expert that said the note and signature were written by Moore and said the date and location were written by Nelson to "remind herself who Roy Moore was." It was not clear from her comments when Nelson made those additions.

As the case against R. Moore is unraveling, I wonder if the Senators, who have turned unexpectedly Puritanical, will next focus on Martin Luther King.
I have recollection of a woman accusing (or was it writing a book?) about MLK's harassment of women.

>> “Roy Moore is great for Alabama but theres no way he translates to the nation stage.” <<
That’s why we need 99 more just like him in the Senate, and another 435 in the House.
The “nation stage” needs cleansing by fire.

Judge Roy Moore: 57%
Tuesday morning I’ll be voting for him. Never doubted him.
Al Franken will un-quit. You are spot on, Mr. Jeeves.
He will never be seeking "Emperor (President) status" rest assured..., Senators/Representatives only need to represent their constituencies, not the at large population! That is the very essence of a Republic!
You know, when this who stupid yearbook thing came out, myself and one other freeper said here that clearly she wrote the last part herself as a description of who signed and where. Could have been done at the time or last week. The inscription means virtually nothing anyway. Other wise everyone signing yearbooks is guilty of raping them. Half the guys signing my year book put phone numbers and lets party over the summer and I havent charged them with anything.
“I’m surprised how many Dems finally get it.”
I suggest waiting for some hatching before you start counting. Dems aren’t hurting.
The Dems haven’t done anything meaningful. Conyers is 88, going out in public in pajamas. He was finished soon anyway and it’s a safe Dem seat.
Franken has not resigned, claimed innocence in his speech if you listen closely to his word parsing, and made no apology at all in that speech.
Hollywooders being taken is down is fun but they don’t count except for finally providing some decent entertainment.
Trent Franks has resigned, so the R’s lost one there.
Aside from the fact that a useless jackwagon like Franken never should be anywhere near the US Senate, we’re better off having him stay than for a new unknown liberal progressive (probably female) to be appointed in his place and likely elected to the position next year. He’s damaged goods and will never be able to outrun that image.
She’s a shakedown artist, the female Al Sharpton. She’s never done ANYTHING else in her legal career but shake down companies and rich people. This is from Wikipedia, highlights of her shakedown career.....

I wouldn’t mind that at all.
In my opinion A. Franken has no intention of resigning at this time.
I am officially announcing this afternoon I filed lawsuits against each of my false accusers for libel and or slander. And I will not settle, see you in court.
I can only hope that Roy also destroys the *enablers* of these creatures. Their bank accounts (examined during discovery) should be interesting.
I do hope he not only wins in these suits, but so destroys the ‘victims’ that this kind of dirty political ‘trick’ will never be attempted again in my lifetime.
Who am I kidding? He should ask for a million each and only take $1 in actual payout.

We once had them,long ago.
We’ve come a long way...
.
Exactly, shakedown artist says it all about Allred.
When did Gloria know part of the writing wasn’t written by Roy Moore? Did she know at the beginning of this charade or did the LIAR tell Gloria the day before this latest press conference?
Why has she let this LIE fester so long?
And why does she think she is so important that she can call a Congressional Hearing?
I used to say that I wanted to kiss Dan Rather.
The initials of the clerk assigned to Moore when he was in the DA’s office has the initials D A.
It is common for certain people to sign papers on behalf of another, but then they sign THEIR initials alongside.
I saw that.
Ive never lived in the south, but I love to visit there, because they have the greatest people on Earth. They dont put up with being messed with.

Dittoes. And they are the friendliest people in America, and the best educated in terms of being able to use their natural logic and reason. Like you say, they dont sway in the gullible winds of the media.
