How is this anything other than straight up execution? What is wrong with juries today?
Disgusting.
Simon Says with bullets.
Cops always talk about how stressful their job is. And they’re right.
But it is also stressful to have a cop’s gun pointed at you. And when a person is under that sort of stress, it’s easy to misunderstand commands, and to move a bit differently than the cop wants you to.
And that’s evidently what happened here. The suspect got confused, and he didn’t move (crawl, actually) so smoothly. So he was shot to death. Yeah Nick, I agree with you. That guy was murdered.
If a cop is this scarred, he should not have a gun. Cops need to make good decisions. This cop was a frightened loser, who killed a guy because the cop did not know what he was doing. And was too afraid to handle the situation correctly.
Its because of cops like this that many people don’t trust any cops.
Is there a way to get his address to MS-13 for a visit?
Just give him a year.

“How is this anything other than straight up execution? What is wrong with juries today? “
Usual suspects...,DEMOCRATS,
That gangbanger was just salivating to shoot someone
That cop deserves to be treated with the exact same respect as that kid he executed, and I am usually on the side of the cops. May that piece of human feces burn in hell.
It’s obvious the jury adhered to the common standard used to justify police shootings; that is: in the opinion of the officer did he feel threatened. He testifies that he did and the jury has their decision in hand.
There is some kind of training error here. The cop threatens the victim, shouting hands up, don’t move, shut up, now move. In this situation the victim is forbidden by the cop from communicating any problem that he might encounter in following the cops new order to move. An innocent , foreseeable and apparently foreseen mistake by a young man is punished by execution. If the cop felt so threatened then why not ask for more backup? And Should not the command be lie down with hands behind his back? If there is not enough room for a second cop in that corridor then time for a diet. If the problem was a faulty training then can the family sue the city?
It’s Mesa.
The jury was probably all Mormon, and raised to believe the cop is always right.
LEO used too many words to mask his lack of a command voice. He sounded like a bad script he’d run in his head repeatedly. I’m guessing his imagined scenarios always ended the same way as what unfolded in reality,
The victim was an idiot for pointing his pellet gun out a hotel window and an idiot cop murdered him for it.
This was murder. Where’s all the riots? Oh wait...maybe he was found not guilty to avoid BLM riots.
Maybe the homicidal maniac will meet his match some day.
So the cops didn’t release the evidence until after the trial? Sounds like the DA was an accessory after the fact.
Stupid orders from a power hungry kid, screaming at the top of his lungs. Yeah, I’d be incredibly frightened and confused.
Cop should tell the guy stand up, hands on top of his head. Turn around and face away from cop. There! Now you’ve seen the entire waistband. Walk backwards, hands still on head, until about 8 to 10 feet away, now kneel down. Cop then moves forward to handcuff.
My understanding is the video just came out today. The jury never got to see it. I wonder how that happened.
The cop should be in jail, and the remaining department needs WAY better training before they should be trusted with armed aprehension of suspects.
This guy was a friend of my daughter’s. She had called me this morning to ask me to watch this video which had been withheld until now. Shitty police work which led to an unnecessary death. Utterly unjustified.
