Brailsford orders Shaver, 26, to lay face-down in a hallway and refrain from making sudden movements - or risk being shot. He also orders a woman in the hallway to lie on the ground. Shaver is seen complying with the officer's order to put his hands on top of his head and cross his left foot over his right foot.
"Young man, you are not to move. You are to put your eyes down look down at the carpet you are to keep your fingers interlaced behind your head you are to keep your feet crossed," Brailsford says. "If you move, we are going to consider that a threat, and we are going to deal with it and you may not survive it, do you understand me?"
"Yes sir," Shaver says.
Brailsford then orders the woman to kneel, put her hands in the air and crawl towards officers. Officers then apparently handcuff her out of the view of the camera.

This was murder. Where’s all the riots? Oh wait...maybe he was found not guilty to avoid BLM riots.
I’m guessing you didn’t watch the video.
Maybe the homicidal maniac will meet his match some day.
So the cops didn’t release the evidence until after the trial? Sounds like the DA was an accessory after the fact.
Stupid orders from a power hungry kid, screaming at the top of his lungs. Yeah, I’d be incredibly frightened and confused.
Cop should tell the guy stand up, hands on top of his head. Turn around and face away from cop. There! Now you’ve seen the entire waistband. Walk backwards, hands still on head, until about 8 to 10 feet away, now kneel down. Cop then moves forward to handcuff.
My understanding is the video just came out today. The jury never got to see it. I wonder how that happened.
The cop should be in jail, and the remaining department needs WAY better training before they should be trusted with armed aprehension of suspects.
I don’t think he was scared. He has power/control issues and was waiting for an excuse to shoot the kid. Power/control attracts this kind of person to police work. Law enforcement is not aggressive enough to weed these characters out.
This guy was a friend of my daughter’s. She had called me this morning to ask me to watch this video which had been withheld until now. Shitty police work which led to an unnecessary death. Utterly unjustified.
No reason they can’t do both.
Would a civilian get away with shooting someone like this? Maybe someone breaking into their shed the owner catches them then goes through this same type routine and claims he thought the perp was reaching for a gun so he killed him out of fear for his life? Does anyone think a homeowner would be found not guilty? Cops have more training and deal with threats everyday yet they get a pass shooting a killing an unarmed person who is not a threat where as a civilian would be facing life in prison.
We need to clarify the law. If a cop shoots someone they had better make sure that person was a clear threat to the officer or someone else. If it's found the person was unarmed and not a threat the officer is at fault automatically and would be charged with 3rd degree murder at the minimum. It can't be any other way. Don't like the terms we as civilians have to live with, then find another damn job.
The same MS-13 that attempted to abduct and kill a 16 YO student just the other day in Brentwood, NY?
MS-13 is to be eviscerated, and not relied upon as a source of justice.
This cop is a disgusting POS who should never have been a cop. He should/will rot in the burning inferno we know as HELL!
This cop lost control which resulted in a needless death.
I’m not sure if he lost control. He wanted to kill the guy since he came into the hall. And he did it.
Actually I train young men and women how to kill the enemy's of this country and I have see plenty of people die, up close and personal. So kiss my ass.
I'm not saying what that officer did is right in any way. What I am saying is suggesting MS 13 take him out is wrong. Think about what you are suggesting.
Thanks for your service Newbomb Turk, others sleep comfortably in their beds knowing that rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf. Peace.
Why did he require him to crawl towards him? Just require him to lie on his stomach away from the cops and interlace his hands behind his back so his partner could walk up behind him and cuff him. They would not have even gotten to the I thought he had a gun in his waistband point if they followed this simple procedure.
Surprised he missed
"If you think this has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention..."
