I don't think it makes sense to move the embassy to Jerusalem anytime soon, but this point is 100% correct.
I believe the wisdom of Trump's decision is that it may have effectively told the Palestinians: "That offer you got in 2000 was the best one you're ever going to get."
It's nice to have a Honey Badger as prez!
Can someone explain how moving the US embassy to Jerusalem benefits the United States of America? Isn’t US national interest what Trump bases his foreign policy upon? Seems a colossal waste of money for symbolism.
The only thing I can conceive of is that Trump stirred this up as a free bargaining chip, much as the Chinese used to torment dissidents so Democrats would give them something to stop.
No. Time to realize that Muslims see peace as only the opposite phase of war. They recognize strength because they are tribal. The strongest have the power. We will have peace, until they see an opportunity to challenge the leader again, proving they have the strength to wield the power.
One promise Trump made is “I will be a unifier” and that he will help inner cities. Those will be the hardest to keep. He must first discredit and eliminate lying hypocritical self-oriented voices of disunity. It will be amazing to watch as these are replaced with pro-American standouts.
