Some Republicans are so fed up with Roy Moore that they aren't just denouncing him, they're helping his Democratic opponent fundraise. Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) gifted Doug Jones $100 on Tuesday in order to put "country over party."
Former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon was in Alabama campaigning with Moore Tuesday night. He trashed Flake's paltry donation.
"C'mon brother, if you're going to write a check, write a check," Bannon said.
Flake is a "total embarrassment," Bannon added, mocking the senator for his poor approval ratings (just 30 percent of Arizonans.)
Clearly, Flake believes at least some of the eight female accusers who allege that Moore sexually abused them. One woman, Leigh Corfman, says Moore took advantage of her when she was just a teen and he was in his 30s. She shared her story with the TODAY show last month.
Yet, Moore denies the accusations and his spokeswoman Jane Porter is going head-to-head with any media pundit who suggests otherwise. In her interview with CNN's Poppy Harlow Tuesday, Porter insisted the supposed victims were deceptive and frauds.
Flake may have been the only Republican to donate to the Democrat, but other top Republicans are publicly condemning Moore. Former presidential candidate Mitt Romney took to Twitter to share a warning that Moore would be a "stain" on the GOP. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell wanted Moore to step aside. Yet, since it's clear he won't, McConnell noted that if the Senate candidate wins, he will be immediately subjected to an ethics investigation.
President Trump endorsed Moore this week and the RNC lifted its freeze on resources for the candidate.
I will be sending Moore $100 on Friday to coincide with the Trump rally for Moore.
Generally, not early in their history. Time, though, is really hard on them.

Isn’t there a limit for a donation, some $2,500, or that may have been raised?
Who cares what Jeff Flake does? He’s a flake...
Jeff Flake has obviously realized that he’s burned all his bridges to the Deplorables, so he’s got nothing to lose by showing his true face.
Watch him run for some office as a Democrat in the near future.
Allegations over proof.
Send it now—it can do some good before next Tuesday.
As in most states, the liberal cities tail wags the dog. Phoenix and Tucson are the culprits here.
“Country over party
What a self righteous ahole”
His ‘country’ is not a country any freedom loving man would want to exist in. For his country is a country where all men who are always presumed guilty, until proven innocent of anything any woman might choose accuse them of ill-respective of the absence of evidence.
His ‘country’ is a country where he can tell his voters one thing and then reverses himself only after election.
His ‘country’ is not my country nor any other country in which I would like to live.
