I don’t see Trump worrying much about his threats. And Muslims have unrest because non-Muslims breathe. Same for unrestful Muslims as for Erdogan.

Turkey is now the home of the international Muslim Brotherhood (Ikhwan al-Muslimun). Hamas of the Gaza Strip is present in Turkey and is an Ikhwan organization. And its charter demands the extirpation, yes extirpation, of Israel. Thus, Erdogan’s words don’t mean spit and haven’t for quite some time. I visualize Trump moves the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem; Erdogan protests and breaks with Israel; the USA demands NATO break with Turkey (which most of its members want to do anyway).

If America recognizes Jerusalem as Israel’s capitol, Turkey will cut off ties with...Israel? Why not cut off ties with the United States. It would be even more self-damaging, and actually makes sense.

USA should move to kick Turkey out of NATO or move the airfields elsewhere.
