Following Michael Flynn's guilty plea for "lying to the FBI", there seem likely to be further feverish developments in Robert Mueller's "Russia investigation". Professor William Jacobson asks the obvious question:

The Order appointing Mueller concerns election interference, not post-election political decisions of the winning candidate.
Indeed. First, it shouldn't be a crime to lie to the FBI given the way the FBI lies to us with impunity. Yours truly thirteen years ago:

The bottom line is that the FBI has become a political formation that goes after legitimate opposition of those who have seized our government.

Why talk to the FBI? Just don’t. What did Flynn have to gain by talking? Say what you want about any LEO but the one thing we should all agree on is that they are experts at setting people up to lie and then catching them lie. Never talk.
That’s the only solution.

One more data point backing the “I want my lawyer” mantra when talking to police.
Their job is to find _something_ to nail _anyone_ with. The topic may be, say, pre-election activities, but if the discussion wanders to, say, post-election activities then you might just get nailed to the wall for saying anything technically actionable. You need someone well-paid to tell you “that’s not relevant to the discussion, shut up already.”
Do all these political vermin think the millions of Americans who voted for and support President Trump will just slink away and say “oh well?” The answer is HELL NO!!!

I find this a bit amazing. Those who scream the loudest for Trump to be taken down will be the first to die at the hands of his soldiers if he is removed from office. Do they not realize this simple truth? Are they genuinely willing to be sacrificed to the great god of leftism?
The motivation of those who oppose Trump is the clear understanding that they will be exposed as traitors and criminals if he remains in office.
There are nearly 2000 sealed indictments waiting for adjudication in the DC environs. How many, do you suppose, are for people who hate Trump? Can you say, “All of them?”
No need to lie, just request to speak to your attorney. Then don’t say another word.
That’s right. There was even opinion printed prior that he was walking into a perjury trap. WTF, maybe its better because the stupidity and arrogance is appalling.
If I ever have to meet up with the FBI it’s going be: “would you like a glass of water”, with me responding “Lawyer”.
Dunno where I read it, but the FBI called in a guy for a deposition. He brought a tape recorder with him. When asked why, he said that anything said to the FBI steno was considered Holy Writ, and if a statement made later on in court didn't jibe EXACTLY with the FBI's account, he was toast.
They told him he couldn't turn the recorder on. He said he wouldn't talk without the conversation being taped. They cancelled the interview.
Obozo the jug eared assclown picked the last minute fight with the Russians for no other reason than to set up Trump and his incoming people.
