In a twist likely to outrage immigration hard-liners, the undocumented man acquitted of murder and manslaughter in the death of Kate Steinle won’t spend a day in state prison, even though the offense he was convicted of — being a felon in possession of a gun — makes him eligible.

Under the detainer, the sheriff’s office must hold Garcia Zarate for ICE despite the city’s sanctuary policy. well, he’s been in jail for about 2.5 years up to the trial. even if they sentence, he’d probably be released because of time served.

When you drive drunk and are in an accident, you are judged guilty whether you caused it or not; intent is not considered.

Grassley, someone we thought was on the people’s side but turned out to be just another deep state swamp creature. We elected a man who ran against the establishment and the establishment said “Screw you!”. I understand how rebels can be so vicious after toppling a government.

I would put a Marine Corps heavy weapons team at every door, with rules of engagement saying “if anybody tries to escape kill’em”.
FOX news is reporting that the DOJ has issued an arrest warrant for him.

Using a gun in the commitment of a crime is 5 years mandatory, and is the minimum. With his record he should be looking at 25 years.

That’s probably true, but just tonight Gregg Jarrett on FNC said exactly what I wrote. I just hope Little Limp Dick Jeffie Sessions actually does have the DOJ take the killer into custody. We can’t kill him, but we can keep him in jail for the rest of his life.
If he were an American with a MAGA hat, he'd be going to San Quentin for life.
