I think that’s what is happening as well. This is just setting the stage for what comes next.
As for what IS next? I have no idea. All of this just seems so bizarre. I’m not understanding the motivation of these people ... unless it was just a monetary scam of some sort.
Yep...Flynn is a Democrat. Worked for Obama for two years. Worked for Trump administration for three weeks before being fired for lying to Pence.

Hum, dec of 16...whom was president then? Ah, the Brown Bomber. So, to determine what was said at that time, exactly, in a meeting between two people, how would the government know what was said, implied or asked for?? Where did this conversation happen.....how about in Trump Tower. IOW, the Brown Bomber was monitoring conversations between the staff of an incoming president and others.
BTW, it is an informational filing, not an indictment so they at least they did not have to listen to the grand jurors laughing about it.
Chances are pretty good that he did.
The question is was their anything nefarious behind the false statement.
If the matter was contested, materialality would be an issue.
I was never convinced that Mueller was engaged in some kind of behind-the-scenes conspiracy with Trump on this, but I was pretty sure from the start that Donald Trump was never a target of Mueller -- and Trump knew this.
The weaponization of politics is upon us.
