A California State University-Los Angeles professor is urging Americans to participate in a “Black Xmas” by divesting from “white corporations” and fighting “White Capitalism.”

In her op-ed for The Los Angeles Sentinel, Melina Abdullah, a Black Lives Matter activist and the chair of the school’s Department of Pan-African Studies, explains that “Black Xmas” is “an economic divestment from White corporations and an investment in building Black community through support for Black community organizations and businesses.”

Nike has plenty of overpriced sneakers, too. For blacks to buy from blacks, blacks have to work and provide goods and services. Sounds good to me. The Trump program aims to get more Americans into manufacturing...not too many black fatory workers, let alone owners, in Red China.

I️ am so glad to be living post racism. Dad always taught us to not be racist. And we are not racist. My whole adult life I’ve been called a racist in my profession, hospital/medical first by the seiu ppl tgen by enlisted military med techs (never by educated black nurses and doctors) But now that’s all over. Presumably so they can support “black corporations” and “black capitalism” - an attitude which is, of course, utterly racist.

But, wait! Don’t these universities have rules against racism? Shouldn’t this racist POS be fired at once? I’m sure that’ll happen. After all, universities are run by our best and brightest, and we can always count on them to do the right thing.

How about these white haters return all the money they have been given by that evil white man via welfare and freebies?

And, who owns corporations? Stockholders. Are all stockholders white? Anybody with stocks benefits from others who buy stocks whether those people are white, black, or green. Let’s suppose only black people bought a stock. That would cut down on the total marketplace a stockholder could sell into. That would hurt the black stockholder.

A friend of mine once said, “That’s so stupid, it’s something only a college professor could believe.”

Unfortunately for this woman, human nature is human nature. Black economic priorities are the same as everyone else’s. They want what they want for the cheapest price possible. The color of the skin of those who can provide that doesn’t matter to the vast majority.

I have no problem with this woman advising people to make individual decisions based on social issues; after all, this is what is happening with the Boycott NFL movement. I have my own personal blackball list of celebrities, athletes and companies I personally boycott and, no, I don’t share that list with anyone. I do have problems with trying to force other entities to honor and participate in my boycott simply to make me happy. If everyone is free to make their own choice, without peer pressure, more power to them. (Although, admittedly, it would be less power to these folks because the products that are solely black-created are pretty thin, I believe.)

“A California State University-Los Angeles professor is urging Americans to participate in a “Black Xmas” by divesting from “white corporations” and fighting “White Capitalism.”

Simple and basic question:

Before you divest in evil white corporations, wouldn’t you have to own stock in those evil white corporations?

If a BLMer does not own stock in an evil white corporation, is their definition of divestment to loot the stores carrying the evil white corporations products?

If blacks stop shopping at white-owned businesses, the decrease in shoplifting/flash-mob losses will add billions to the economy.
