Senators Bob Corker and Jeff Flake are demanding that the tax reform bill include a trigger
email from Senate Conservatives Fund

Posted on 11/29/2017 12:10:36 PM PST by Jim Robinson

Senators Bob Corker (R-TN) and Jeff Flake (R-AZ) are demanding that the tax reform bill include a trigger that automatically raises taxes in the future if tax receipts fall below projections.

This is a bad idea. Raising taxes is never a good policy, but this provision also adds complexity and uncertainty to the tax code that will limit its impact on economic growth.

Bob Corker and Jeff Flake want people to believe they're concerned about the deficit, but if that were true they would not have supported so many bills to increase the debt limit and increase spending.

If there is going to be a budget trigger, shouldn't it automatically cut spending which is the real problem in Washington?

The tax trigger should be rejected and the tax rates in the bill for individuals should be lowered so no American, regardless of where they live, has to pay higher taxes.

As we mentioned before, we also believe that any side deal to allow for the passage of health insurance company bailouts should be categorically rejected. This is something Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) promised the moderates in the Senate and it's a bad idea.

The only way to make health coverage more affordable is to repeal Obamacare's benefit mandates, which have forced Americans to buy things they don't want...

If McCain sinks the bill the stock market will crash and I hope Americans know it was him. There’s a lot of buyers remorse here n Arizona for both our senators. Can’t get rid of them both soon enough.

“Tax cuts that aren’t paid for add to the national debt.”

That is exactly the twisted logic that got us into this spending spiral.

Reagan used the analogy of a teenager’s allowance. The parents decide how much they are willing to give per week. If the teenager spends more than that amount, and gets into debt trouble, do you blame the parents for not giving enough?

Spending causes deficits, not tax cuts.

I call McCain,Corker, Flake, Murkowski etc the “Designated Maverick.” They’re the ones who will always step up and “courageously” throw a monkey wrench into any conservative legislation. It’s all smoke and mirrors. As soon as they’re gone, a new set of “Designated Mavericks” will emerge.

Politics is a scam and we’re suckers for playing.

Once they leave, the gop faction of the uniparty will just have some other “Designated Maverick” throw a monkey wrench into any conservative legislation. It’s just what they do.

Politics is a scam and we’re suckers for playing.

You know, something tells me DJT knew this all along, and is just going through the “process” (until midterms) to shine the light and expose them for what they are:

FAKE PUBLIC SERVANTS.

"If there is going to be a budget trigger, shouldn't it automatically cut spending which is the real problem in Washington?"

That's the default conservative solution, but Corker and Flake are NOT conservatives. They're backbiting, traitorous RINOs, at best, and more likely, stealth Democrats.

+1

If the gop and rat factions of the uniparty were merely useless, I wouldn’t care. I’d ignore them. Unfortunately they’re hurting the Christian mission as well.

Politics is a scam and we’re suckers for playing.

DJT is a very smart guy and I have no doubt he realizes what a bunch of smoke and mirrors he’s up against. Unfortunately I don’t see much way for him to maneuver: if the gop wing of the uniparty pulls off a loss in the 2018 election, the rat faction will go for impeachment. Perhaps he sees some sort of way to turn horse#### into filet mignon? I don’t.

Politics is a scam and we’re suckers for playing.

I think Bannon figured this out quickly, and has the only realistic plan to primary them out. The fact that Gorka has joined him AND Sheriff Clarke left his job to join Bannon’s America First campaign is a very good sign.

I have a feeling Bannon is behind all of this. What Intel did he see while he was in the White House?

I think that the Matt Lauer relevations come at a very opportune time, and this is scaring the bejeezus out of all the other swamp creatures.

If Matt Lauer can be taken down, who is next? This is an example of what can happen to all the other cretins.

Get on the Trump Train or else!

It could be... or, it could actually be HRC with all her blackmail files... to divert attention from all her money laundering/pay to play schemes. It’s like a mystery serial soap opera. Each morning we wake up to another episode!

Pass it with the trigger. Then fund the hell out of their challengers. Repeal the trigger after the new Senate is seated.

If you mean the FBI files, that’s so last century, dude! Lol

Seriously, I think we have a whole new batch of records that someone has gained access to.

I’m putting my money on Bannon thanks to his time with WH access.

It just so delicious!

It truly is, Early Bird. The day God breaks the dam and He takes down every one of these perverts will be the day the angels rejoice so loudly we may hear it down here!

Did you catch this latest?

Here’s Bette Midler in 1991 Talking About Geraldo Rivera Drugging and Groping Her Without Consent

“One thing I do remember—and that was how I met Geraldo—and that was not funny,” Midler says. “Should I tell you?” When Walters responds with a steady “Why not?” Midler demurs, saying that she doesn’t want to “get in trouble,” but at Walter’s encouragement, she relays the following tale.

Geraldo and his producer came to do an interview with me, in the ‘70s, in the early ‘70s. This was when he was very hot. He and his producer left the crew in the other room, they pushed me into my bathroom, they pushed two poppers under my nose, and proceeded to grope me...I did not offer myself up on the altar of Geraldo Rivera. He was unseemly. Midler laughs it off, eventually saying that had she known Rivera was going to be a “slimy talk show host,” twenty years later, she “never would have let him in the room.”

The automatic trigger should be for government layoffs and spending decreases to cover any tax losses.
