Kathie Lee Gifford wants to forgive Matt Lauer.
The Today star, alongside co-host Hoda Kotb, addressed Lauers prompt firing after an employee raised allegations of sexual harassment against him.
Im grappling with, should I even share something? But I guess I really should, Gifford, 64, said during the 10 a.m. hour of Kathie Lee & Hoda. I dont feel that Matt has betrayed us in any way at all but when I found out that my husband [Frank Gifford] had betrayed me, you question your own judgment. You say, Was everything a lie? And I think we have to very much fight against that, that the man we know and adored was the man we loved and adored and continue to.
Gifford said she reached out to Lauer, 59, Wednesday morning and told him, I adore you. She described the day as a very, very sad one at NBC.
She continued, No person is perfect in this world.
And what we need now is forgiveness and mercy for one another.

This must the obversion of their politics of personal destruction: personal construction? (But only if the perp is a lefty tool.)
Or, “If we can Bork, we can rehabilitate.”
They opened the door. Now we see their skellingtons.
Kathie Lee is drunk, again.
So, I don’t know what you did exactly, but whatever is was, I forgive you.
Interesting.
Because once you’re inside the club...
Put a sock in it Kathy Lee.
Good grief. Let the women who were abused have the say on this.
What is it with some people?
There are times when people should know better than to voice opinions like this on matters like this
I heard Kathie Lee talk about Trump not long after he declared his candidacy stating he was a very close friend. She told how he is always the first person to call if there is a problem and how caring he is. She stated Trump is a man that you want as your friend!
I dont like her assessment here of Matt and Ive heard her sickeningly praise him for years. I dont get it.
But your point is well taken. They want compassion and forgiveness for those who actually did things and eternal damnation for those who only talked about it, or who were framed by liars.
Liberal women are just so eager to enable their serial sex abuser liberal men all the while accusing others of what they do as a matter of course, then acting all indignant about it.
Hypocrisy, thy name is Liberalism.
[[Why is she focused on her adoration for the victimizer??]]
Because she’s a liberal- plain and simple- liberals ALWAYS adore victimizers-
ick!
I confused Kathy Lee Gifford with Kathy Griffin, that hateful witch who held up a decapitated head, meant to be President Trump.
She is desperate for attention and paying customers to her shows - so she’s jumping on the Matt Lauer bandwagon. See here:

Gotta feel sorry for Cody - kid doesn’t have a chance....
Well said.
Yeah.
Hey Kathy, do you have any sympathy at all for the women who was attacked or she the "problem?"
You know darn well there are witnesses, hard evidence or a confession of Lauer’s misdeeds for NBC to jump to the ultimate reaction of terminating hm so quickly.
If there was wiggle room they would not have blown him away so quickly or he would now be making public statements of his innocence.
Are you FREAKIN’ kidding me, KLG?!? You’ve got a woman or many women who have been victimized by this ahole and you focus on Lauer??? Do you NOT see the problem with this?
Man, leftist women are even worse than I thought. Glad I purged ALL lefties from my inner sanctum
Have another drink, Kathy. You’re not slurring your words yet.

Nobody’s perfect???!!! You don’t have to avoid raping someone to be considered perfect!
He doesn’t want forgiveness and if he did (shudder), it would be his victims to give!
Does she want him to just continue on TV when no one wants to listen to him or look at him! Don’t want to hurt his feelings! SICK SICK SICK!
Its OK to forgive him.
And its ok to say, “That’s not the man I knew.”
Both of those things are fine. But as an employer, you cannot keep the person on the books. They have to go. Your liability and exposure (no pun intended) is simply too great.
