LOL! Even most of the comments at the Leftist Rag’s website are lambasting the “poor victim” students.

The average student takes 5 years to get a degree. They attend about 12 hours per week of classes. Only about 55 percent EVER graduate. I call BS. Grow up and get a job, you lazy slackers.

or.....get a job in a restaurant....work nights, so you can then sleep, get up and go to class....there is usually some kind of meal involved during the shift.
You did well FRiend. I graduated in 5 years and only took the student loan ONCE and paid it off within ONE year with those cash jobs. My other classmates even took 10 years to pay for theirs. Heck, I even had a couple of girlfriends which distracted me LOL but never lost my objective. My parents were stunned that I didnt have any student debt in 2 years time after graduation.
Because phones are free, right?? They all have phones with all the trimmings.

It’s a right of passage! + They choose to buy beer and weed instead of eating. My frat would choose to eat grilled cheese for lunch for a couple of weeks then we had enough money to throw another party.
Otherwise they should get a job. The reason college kids go to the soup kitchens and pantries is because the food is free not because they can’t feed themselves.
I had it easy when I was a student in 1976. Back then you could get a carton of yogurt for only fifty cents.
Nowadays, yogurt at Krogers has skyrocketed to 10 for $4.00. That’s, like...

Or two or three. That was the norm back when I went to college. Even my daughter took six years to earn a four year degree for the same reason.
Remember how the press worked to convince the sheeple that Sarah Palin was somehow stupid because it took her seven years to finish a four year degree?
Grow up and get a job, you lazy slackers.

Ah, the 70’s. My tuition was $220 a semester. Books were about half that.
I went to class from 8-Noon. Worked afternoons. Graduated with a degree in Sociology and never officially used it. The concepts did help 10 years later when I went into real estate.
So, goofed off until 35 playing music, mostly retired at 60, wife also retired then at 53.
And that’s why America is the greatest country in the world.
My kid has a part time job, in his field that pays $20 an hour, 401K, educational reimbursement and medical. He’s studying aerospace engineering not majoring in multiple gender studies and Frisbee.
His school has no cafeteria. Students live in on campus apartment and are responsible for their own meals. Tons cheaper
Solution........Get a Job.
