At some point the metaphor will become concrete.
Ecclesiastes 3:8. Preached by Peter Muhlenberg, a Black Robe Regiment ‘Parson’ before ripping off his clerical gown to expose his Continental Army Colonel’s uniform and signing up one of the first full militias under Patrick Henry. There is a statue of him in the Capitol in Washington in Statuary Hall. That’s been my tagline for a couple years.
So when will our President take up arms in the social arena to roll back the corrupt policies still in place to destroy the moral fabric of America?
WAT past time.
I’ve said for several years that civil war is a comin’. I felt so strongly that I bought a small farm in central KY, two weeks before the 2008 election, and moved there in 2011, from my home of 46 years, Seattle. One of the three best decisions I ever made, the first being accepting Christ and the second being choosing my wife.
And then I realized, during the 2016 election, that we
ARE in civil war. It’s just a cold war.
So far...
Yet,....School day after school day conservatives turn their children over to the enemy.
Remember:
1) Nearly every teacher in this nation was trained by godless Marxists in Marxists run colleges and universities.
2) Children in godless schools WILL learn to think and reason godlessly. They must just to cooperate in the godless classroom. How can it be otherwise?
3) Children in the government's socialist-entitlement K-12 schools risk learning to be comfortable with socialism. Gee! If the voting mob can give them tuition-free school, why not use that same mob to get **lots** of “free” stuff?
<>Before there is bloodshed in the streets, we must beat them at their own game.<>
With the exception of the Presidency, the Left dominates every major institution. They have the courts on their side and will not relinquish power through the usual means. We can’t beat them on their own terrain.
Let’s try peaceful reform, and do an end run around them on ground of our choosing: Article V.
During our lives, it was started by the hard left, and its a war to achieve power for them, for them to change the entire workings of our country
The Depression didn’t have the economic luxury of coddling disaffected adolescents, who traced their lineage to the Lost Generation of the Twenties. On a broader level, it was the proliferation of automobiles as portable bedrooms that allowed for youthful breaking away from norms.
Back to the modern era, civil fracture appeared with the notion that going to war half-heartedly and incrementally in Viet Nam was bettered by refusing to support the government at all, morphing Washington DC in particular and government in general into the enemy. This internal conflict became a war in itself, a war that was eventually won by the left.
Good read for us deplorables.
