Crime, as in violation of some statute? Probably not.
It is, however, extremely stupid. “Felony” stupid. The kind of stupid that should hurt.
In the age of film, photographs could be dangerous things. If nothing else, the Fotomat guy saw your prints.
In this age of digital media and the internet, racy photos are toxic and radioactive. ANY picture you take may very well end up on the front page of the Washington Post. THINK, folks. Use your brains. Apply the principles of “Operations Security” to your personal, daily lives.
I don’t think people see it as criminal.
Not speaking for everyone, but I think it showed a complete lack of judgement and awareness. If he took the photo from the other direction we would not have this conversation.
And 65 is pretty much the cut off point for blaming naivety of how the whole internet thing works.
But no...not criminal.
