Texas Congressman Joe Barton sent nudes and illicit text messages to a woman, and he's apologizing for the graphic image first revealed by a Twitter user.
Barton, a Republican, sent the nude photo showing his penis. The Twitter user censored the image, and also revealed a sext that reads, "I want u soo bad. Right now."

Totally agree - and besides, you can deflect the request with a sly smile and say "...however, private viewings *are* available in person!" and proceed to plan a date. Hell, that banter is part of the fun, but today people are too impatient and go straight for the vulgar stuff.
He is married now but was in the middle of divorce then.

I was merely being sort of cryptic when I said EVEN his wife should be ashamed if he were to send it to her.
Hell, I am ashamed that he sent it.....ha ha...

Not only has this man never sent or taken such a pic, but it would never occur to me to do so. Can’t speak for others but I would still be surprised if this were common above the age of 30 or so. But, then I have been surprised more than a few times by the degeneration of our society.

Personally, no one is ever going to convince me that that might be fun, but maybe some people do think it’s fun.
That said, Mister Barton could never, ever win another election; he would and will be held up as an example GOPer by the Dems, and should at the very least, announce his retirement, forthwith.
And, the sad and perhaps pitiable fool that he is, should absolutely not endorse anyone.
They might want to consider the tale of Pam and Tommy, first.
I would think, at his age, going through a divorce and probably being without physical intimacy for a while, that would account for his actions to a degree.
Then lets face, women can be temptresses, especially when a man is vulnerable.

Most of the ‘good old boys’ I met would (sorta) say that ALL the girls in his town, county state were kind of ‘loose’ EXCEPT my wife, girlfriend,daughter, niece etc etc etc... Now common sense tells you that if EVERYONE has that attitude either NO one is getting any or EVERYONE is ‘loose’.
So, IMNSHO, any ‘good old boy’ that I knew would have went hunting for the slimy creep- if he were the father, brother etc of ANY 14 or 15 year old gal
And in a small town, secrets don’t last long when it comes to this BS.
But in private, between normal people that no one would ever care about, I’m just not seeing it as a crime.
