BALTIMORE — Another federal judge has halted a proposed transgender military ban, expanding on an initial ruling issued last month against the plan by President Donald Trump's administration.
In a preliminary injunction issued Tuesday in Baltimore, U.S. District Judge Marvin Garbis ruled that transgender service members have "demonstrated that they are already suffering harmful consequences" due to the proposed ban including threat of discharge, stigma and the cancellation or delay of surgeries related to their gender transitions. The six plaintiffs in the lawsuit he reviewed have all been receiving hormone therapy.
In a strongly-worded passage from his 53-page decision, Garbis wrote that the "capricious, arbitrary, and unqualified tweet of new policy does not trump the methodical and systematic review by military stakeholders qualified to understand the ramifications of policy change."

The courts have no enforcement authority over a co equal branch of the government. Its time for a President with backbone to tell them that and then implement policies that help rebuild America.

so judges should obey rules made by committee and not their own decisions?
Trump is commander in chief, his decisions are final.
Those studies the judge refers were 100% political and not in any way based on reality.
Rebuilding the military is the first order of the day and it is up to the Commander in Chief. All the black-robed piss ants on the bench have diddley-squat to do with this process. At this point, I can’t see how military courts or even sharia courts would be superior to the current system of justice.
How can these judges be removed from the bench for exceeding their authority?
How dare you doubt the critical strategic and tactical benefits of adding sexual deviants to our military’s ranks?!
The president is the commander in chief....not some never elected judge in a position not even mentioned in the constitution.
Actually this is a good thing. Trump can now appeal and work this through the courts to get some precedent at the highest levels. The Establishment crowd always backs down thus giving the left what they want and never establishing any good case law on our side. Keep it up President Trump - hold fast.
All further proof that Trump needs his nominees confirmed pronto.
Maybe it’s time for sane minds to rule on this. Look at the facts, understanding what is at stake, the let the SCOTUS hopefully tell us there are only two genders.
No gender fluid nonsense. A person is either born male or female; nothing else unless they are a hermaphrodite which is extremely rare. Changing the outside appearance of a female does not make that person a male. Ever. Regardless of the change of clothes, implants, or snip surgery.
Any belief by a person otherwise must therefor be in their head which means it’s a mental issue requiring help. By admitting mental patients into the military the military is accepting responsibility for all mental health the patient receives for life. Wrong answer.
Since when is it the taxpayers responsibility to pay for these mental health patients for life when previously the military would reject mental patients for good cause. Who wants a nut case in the foxhole with them in a time of huge stress. No one does of course.
The military is not the place for social experiments.
President Trump should tell all these judges to pound sand. Someone has to defy them and get the ball rolling. Then others will join in.
Consider the "sexual harassment" tidal wave. The Harvey Weinstein affair got the ball rolling, and now it has blossomed out of control.
Would that the same thing will happen against the tyrants in black robes.

Trump needs to move forward with implementing his policy while it percolates up to the Supremes. Then slow walk it all the way up.
The CiC should cite a pressing need for military personnel, issue a three person draft and put these three judges into a uniform and send them to Afghanistan.
Judges are lawyers. Lawyers are mostly Democrats. I’ll give odds that these judges have gay children or siblings, or are gay themselves, openly or closeted. Whatever the cause(es), their actions deserve removal from the bench.
