As the political world obsesses over the latest sexual-harassment scandals and policy wonks scrutinize the latest tax-reform proposal, the Trump administration is quietly restoring constitutional governance.
Although Congress has been unable to pass legislation and President Trump faces record-low approval rates, his hiring of the best people in certain key areas has enabled the transformation of the judiciary as well as reworking the bureaucracy (often called the Fourth Branch).
A president has few powers more important than picking judges. Tax deals can sunset and regulations can be rescinded Congress has used the Congressional Review Act to eliminate 14 Obama-era rules. Just last week, Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced that the Justice Department would no longer issue guidance documents that create rights or obligations binding on anyone outside the executive branch.
But federal judgeships are for life.
The most notable success here is Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch. Those who hoped for another smooth-writing originalist to replace Antonin Scalia got what they wanted.
Wouldnt it be a lot easier if we just followed the plain text of the statute? Gorscuch asked at his first argument. Originalism has regained its place at the table [and] textualism has triumphed, he explained to more than 2,000 celebrants at the Federalist Societys annual dinner last week, and neither one is going anywhere on my watch.
Moreover, the alignment weve gotten used to, with four liberals, four conservatives and a swing vote is on its last legs. Whenever Justice Anthony Kennedy (age 81) retires discount any rumors you hear from anyone but him or his wife and whenever Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg (85) departs, the court will move right, with Chief Justice John Roberts at its center.

If McConnell ever gets off his dead, intentionally foot-dragging ass & gets the backlogged judicial nominees their confirmation votes.
Yes, they will have a big effect, but as you pointed out, the SJWs can always find leftist judges to stop Trump from doing his job as President to protect our nation.
Until the states return to the senate, congress will never do its Article III duty to check federal courts.
Winning! More, please.

Great start. How about a wall? And no more rapefugees ever. I also like the start on simplification of the tax code, although it still punishes the middle to upper middle class and pours millions into the non- contributor class.
I took a diff job because what I was making would have bumped me too far and I am too far from the small business class to get a break.. no way I could make that kind of money right now.
With their propsal, it was smarter to take a pay cut.. yep that’s great.
Something I’ve wondered is why isn’t trump doing the same thing with the bureaucracy.—that is replacing all the obama people with conservatives.
There isn’t a 100% tax rate, so why quit a higher paying job over taxes? You only hurt yourself.
One thing that is certain. The left really screwed the pooch by not pushing for Ginsberg to retire in Obama’s term. She’s obviously way past her sell-by date, and has been for quite some time, yet no one on the left would suggest that she move aside for someone younger.
