Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) made a rare appearance at the Womens Caucus at the California Democratic Party Executive Board meeting on Saturday, the Los Angeles Times reported. A large part of the meeting focused on policy changes that would prevent sexual harassment and help those who have fallen victim.
During her eight-minute speech, Feinstein predicted a rather interesting 2018 election outcome:
I predict based on what I see out there that we are going to have another Year of the Woman. What it means is that we have an opportunity to really turn this next year into a year of change affecting women. Feinstein referenced the 1992 elections where she was elected, along with a large number of other women.
There is NO Need for a 'Year of the Woman' Democrats love to use everything to their advantage. That's one of the major differences between liberals and conservatives. Instead of throwing a pity party conservatives pick themselves up by their bootstraps and make the best out of a bad situation.
Feinstein thinks next year is going to bring an uprising of women. She thinks that women will suddenly wake up and realize that they've been victim to men for far too long.
Newsflash, Senator. You're wrong.
Women don't need to wait for sexual harassment scandals and allegations to be strong and courageous. We are strong every. single. day. While you look at us and think that we're inferior to our male counterparts, I look at my differences as a strength.
My husband is strong and he can do things I can't, like chop wood and lift heavy items. I can do things he can't, like cook dinner and make craft projects.
I'm so tired of my millennial counterparts thinking that everyone needs to be equal. We will never be equal because men and women have different strengths and weaknesses. Instead of looking at each of those differences as negatives, we need to celebrate them!
The women we elect to higher office should share the values of the people they represent, just like the men are expected to do.
If we have a "Year of the Woman" next year, I hope to God it's because the women who are running have great ideas and moral integrity, not because of their gender.
The womens Caucus? O my.
Just another token pandering stereotype. Nutcase Dim.
Do they have an Asian Caucus?
Or a Christian Caucus?
Or a Gun Owners Caucus?
.................................I didn’t think so.................
Not Kelly-Anne for being the first woman to run a successful presidential campaign?
I don’t know - if some woman grabbed one of my a$$ cheeks and squeezed it a bit, would that be so bad?
Would I be traumatized for the rest of my life?
Would I run around crying “sexual harrassment?” Or would I just laugh it off?
Rape is one thing, so is assault. But just copping a feel, is that so bad?
Are today’s women so hung-up emotionally that they have such extreme reactions over what I consider trivialities?
I guess I can expect severe flames coming from the ladies here, ... Flame away gals!
I’m always amused at the claim that 52% of the population is made up of victims who can’t better their situation without help from the govt which is run by the “oppressors”.
As usual, the Left is overplaying its hand: There WILL absolutely now be a barrage of WOMEN accused of sexual harassment....
Thanks to the 1992 “year of the woman,” we’ve now learned that women in power are just as venal, amoral, immoral and corrupt as they claimed men were. And Feinstein has been one of the standouts in providing proof.
