I’m sorry the pain you went through as a child has blinded you to the meaning and intent of my very reasonable comment and has left you with nothing but a bitter insult. Please. Continue on with your therapy. I hope you someday find the help you need. In the meantime - avoid embarrassing yourself as you did.

I've gotten my therapy - it's called God in my life and I don't need your condescension, and I certainly don't believe that I've embarrassed myself.

“He was getting even, ridiculing, the woman who told him off...”

That’s certainly how she saw it, he wanted to humiliate her after she rejected him.

Very true.

“Power over” a defenseless person is a huge part of the perversion/attraction.

Mmmmmmm.....no.

I would not want to make contact with an sexually aggressive creep.

Besides, he might like the contact, especially in the groin.

That's just mean.

I’m sure she forgives you.

People like her and I carry scars unimaginable to those not so unlucky in life.

Verbose as I am, I could not even begin to explain *all* of the issues/damage/ramifications of sexual abuse.

It is very much like murder, except that the victims are left still breathing.

You carry it with you for the rest of your life, even if manage some semblance of a ‘normal life’.

And I would like to mention B.A.C.A. [Bikers Against Child Abuse] who give of their own time and money to befriend and ‘guard’ abused kids.

They go to court with them to give them the courage and support to testify, and even surround their houses at night, staying ‘on watch’, to let the kids sleep peacefully again.

They’re on call, 24/7/365.

They are angels, all of them.

I hear you about women who lie about it. They are not helping anyone and are hurting the legitimate victims. Perhaps you needed to make your original comments more clear so as not to appear sympathetic to actual abusers, as a few of us here have have the same response.

“When I was in my 20s, 30s and 40s, “passes” were very common”
“For instance, when I was 27, my landlady’s husband let himself into my apartment with her pass-key, grabbed me, and forced his tongue into my mouth. I screamed and threatened to tell his wife, who lived downstairs. Fortunately, he left.”

I wouldn’t call that a “pass”, more like home invasion and assault. Back in the day, in the lexicon I recall, a “pass” was pretty much just a flirty come-on line or a wink of an eye type thing. Still something that a boyfriend/husband might punch a guy out if the guy made a pass to his gf/wife, but nothing like attempted assault.

Wish I could hug you too!!! The uncle in this situation was married to my my mother's aunt and they lived down the street from us. This aunt was my babysitter while my mother worked and she was abusive too but in the discipline area. My mother didn't want to know about any of this. The only thing that stopped it was that we moved when I was 12 years old. The residual effects lasted for years and included abusive marriages, etc.

The plus side - I'm healed by God now and am using the past to minister to women who have been through similar situations. That's very cathartic for me. If I couldn't save myself at least I can help these woman not wait so long to talk it out and get internal emotional relief and health a lot earlier in life than I did.

My uncle was often called “the Alan Alda of the family”.

So witty, beguiling, smart and charming.

Kinda like Lucifer in that tree...

I was crudely propositioned a few times growing up in the San Francisco area as a teenage boy. The predator homos were very aggressive. I never “reported” anything and just brushed it off. No long term damage here. LOL.

If Mitch McConnell isn’t shaking in his boots right now...then he’s a complete idiot.

Bannon has nukes and we know now he isn’t afraid to launch them. Where do think the target of the next exchange is, Mitch...hmmm?

"....but anyone who waits years - even DECADES later to cry rape...."

Well, she isn't crying rape.

Here's the thing. What was once a socially tolerable level of, shall we say, libidinal insistence is now practically criminal whether the instigator is formally charged or not.

In many of these stories the 'victim' version of events are well below Pepé Le Pew's average romantic encounters.

It was. And I apologize.

It was in response to her insult and attack on me.

Wow...I sure wish you lived near *me*!

I may not have stopped the uncle completely *but*, when I was about 14, my little cousin was turning 10 and I told her that if he *ever* touched her, she was to tell ME first.

Not two weeks later, I foud her crying in my gramma’s lane.

He had.

So she “only” got a few weeks instead of the 5 years I did and for that, I am so glad.

She was not nearly as messed up by it as I was.
