Sean Hannity said that, in light of inconsistencies in his recollection of sexual misconduct allegations against him, Judge Roy Moore (R-Ala.) should be given 24 hours to fully explain the situations or bow out of his Senate race.
"You know I do not and will never rush to judgment, because we have seen the media and politicians get it wrong so many times," he said.
But, he said that in light of new information from an accuser of Moore's, the public should be troubled by a few things in the case.
Hannity said he had to ask Moore several times about whether he dated teenage girls as a man in his 30s, until the judge answered concisely.
Also, Hannity played tape of Moore saying an accuser who was flanked by attorney Gloria Allred made allegations about him that were "absolutely false," adding that he did not know the woman.
Hannity said a subsequent report showing the woman's old yearbook containing a note and signature from Moore appeared to corroborate the woman's allegation.
"For me, the judge has 24 hours. You must immediately and fully come up with a satisfactory explanation for your inconsistencies that I just showed," Hannity said.
"The American people deserve 100 percent truth and honesty."
He said Moore owes Alabamians and all Americans a full cogent explanation of the circumstances.
Moore currently faces Democrat Doug Jones in the December special election to replace now-Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

They aren’t ‘girls,’ they’re lying middle-aged misfits with a low price tag.

Ultimatums are suicide.
Roy Moore is a Winner. Hannity is a Loser.
Suicide.
We need a new Attorney General.
Sessions needs to humble himself and do what is in the best interest of the country and become a Senator again. Talk about turning the tables on the Dems.
Unfortunately, Moore will not be effective in the Senate at this point. He hasn't handled the allegations very well. He should be filing charges against the accusers.
Senator Jess Sessions has a nice ring to it as of December, 2017.
“So he lied.”
Is that what you say he did?
May we see your data about the events in 1979?
How many pairs of cheekchillers and vats of boy butter does Lindsey Graham own?
Those who live in glass houses shouldn’t get stoned.
I have been wondering when Sean would throw judge Moore under the bus. He didn’t hesitate to turn on Cliven Bundy.
One rumor has proved to be true, there was someone calling women 54-57 in the Gadsden area, claiming to be from the WaPo & offering serious money $ 5,000 - $ 7,000 for information on Moore. This was confirmed by station WKGR in Mobile. They actually have a tape of the robo-calls.
The other rumor was that Leigh Corfman, the women who claimed she was 14 when Moore took her hand and put it on his junk through his underpants, had falsely accused other men, even a pastor. It that proves to be true & others she accused come forward, that will blow her story.
Now the step-son of the Nelson women, who said he tried to force her to give him a BJ when she was 16, has come out and said she’s lying. There’s also some questions abut the signed yearbook.
It’s possible this is a well organized hit on Moore. He does need to hurry up and prove his case.
Maybe true. Then he needs to file a lawsuit against his accuser.
When Hannity was falsely accused he went full court press against the false allegations. Same with Trump. That’s what Moore needs to do.
Hannity made a huge mistake. He brought the Judge on his show. Now the advertisers are bailing. If he would have followed the story from a distance he would have been ok. Hannity has increasingly BECOME the story recently. He’s become an extreme partisan and therefore has lost objectivity. Basically following in Maddow’s footsteps and it was working but he’s now losing steam because people don’t like the cheerleading that he’s doing.
Yep....he is trying to cut his losses.
Naw, I noticed it after my hike on Friday. Sean was full on defending Moore Thursday. To such an extreme it was making me a little ill.
Then after he had interviewed Moore (which I did not hear), I caught a bit of him on the radio and he was MUCH more equivocal about Moore. He was saying things like I dont know what he did or didnt do forty years ago or if he did these things, he should step down - I dont remember his exact words, but I was wondering what the hell happened to change his position so much. Then Friday night I read the transcript of Moore on his show. Boom. Sean gave him every chance to come clean and Moore decided to dissemble.
Here is Moore’s response:
Did I sign some kid’s yearbook 40 years ago? Maybe. I have no idea. Is it even my handwriting? Is that what I’m being accused of? By the way, is a traumatized teen coming to me to sign their yearbook?
.
Hannity has never been anything but a pretender.
He’s trying to save his own show by doing a hatchet job on our very best.
Adios Hannity!
.
I say he was dishonest RE his own memory, yes I do. I wasnt there forty years ago. The lie is right there in his own words. Read my post you responded to. The logic speaks for itself.
We still need to keep that seat. There are worse people in the senate. Im all for saving the seat even with Moore in it.
I just tweeted to Moore, it’s wrong for him to expect the people of AL to follow him out of blind faith. He owes it to them to mount a defense not just stand up to establishment. I think he’s playing into McConnell’s hands by not offering a defense, Dem will win.
All that said, I’m pissed at Hannity.
So what is it that the judge did that should give him the boot? Clinton skated after Broderick told everyone he brutally raped her. The judge dated some young women. Wow. It's good to know he wasn't going after boys like the Massachusetts congressperv who diddled young pages and too skated.
Sean is just looking for an “acceptable” way out of the fix he got himself in talking about that antiquated concept of innocent until proven guilty so he might keep his job. Perfectly understandable, he’s got a good gig and why toss it over something so unimportant.
trust me, a 65+ year old doesn’t remember who signed his year book
Yep, the answer to “Did you ever?” Is not “Not generally.”
.
Moore did just fine!
What would you do? He can’t remember anything (cuz it didn’t happen, obviously) so what should he say?
Shame on you!
