Again, respectful and professional ... w/o a smile or hint of friendship. (I think this is a good thing, a very good thing :-) )

Okay .. I don’t know the point you’re trying to make. Care to share it?
Cocktails and socializing in the in the courtyard prior to dinner.....
Philipine Pres made a statement awhile back not favorable to Trump.....he’s been on the defensive since Obama because he really hated Obama......Trump broke that ice entirely....
The President is not uncomfortable with Duterte, he is respectful and professional ... but not friendly. I said before this is a good thing, since Duterte is a fascist.
What part of fascist are you missing here?
When does POTUS come home. He makes me nervous in places like this, ISIS hotbed.
Your missing the point entirely.....Trump wants to do business regardless of country leaders ideology or where they stand on their home issues. Asean Sumit is all about that.
Well it is at war with ISIS there.....I suspect he’s on his way home already....
You and me both. It’s time to come home. Safely, please God.
*Subject:* *WH Travel Pool Report #4*
Heading for the Trump-Duterte meeting
The president, now running more than an hour late, departed his hotel at 12:55 for a second time today, to travel the short distance to the Philippine International Convention Center.
He is scheduled to meet Rodrigo Duterte and take part in the US-ASEAN summit.
Mark Landler NY Times
It was a last minute add on.
The President is not there to "break the ice" or any other such nonsense. He's there to suffer through Duterte and strengthen relationships with other leaders attending the summit. Hence, his trilateral meeting with Turnbull and Abe, followed by the unilateral dinner with Turnbull to focus on NK.
BTW, it's okay that the President is not thrilled to be there. It's not an insult.
Last report I saw, the President would be back at the WH on Tuesday.
I wonder why the President’s late.
