Sean Hannity was the friendliest possible interviewer that Roy Moore could have chosen to defend himself from accusations that he fondled a 14-year-old girl. Despite the host teeing up softballs for him, Moore flubbed his chance to put the controversy to rest, failing to completely deny dating teenage girls when in his 30s and claiming forgetfulness when trying to deny specific allegations.
The money quote:
"Let me ask you this, you do remember these girls? Would it be unusual for you as a 32-year-old guy to have dated a woman as young as 17? That would be a 15-year difference... or a girl 18. Do you remember dating girls that young at that time?" Hannity asked. "Not generally, no," Moore answered. "If did, you know, I'm not going to dispute anything but I don't remember anything like that."

Most of the guys like Hannity, FOX media guys are afraid to satnd up for Moore because they could get accused of being for child molesting.
That disgusts me because this tactioc of accusing people of things that cannot really be proved is the way things are going.
I just read this story that I found a little troubling ...
I certainly don’t know if it’s true or not. Maybe just more fake news.
Personally, I am not excited about voting for Roy Moore but I would vote for Charles Manson before I voted democrat. Unless Moore quickly clears things up, I may not be voting.

Roy Moore is not going to step aside for Mo Brooks.
Should be easy for him to say he never pursued, dated, or kissed high school girls when he was in his 30s. That would help. And it’s not just about what is legal that matters to me.
Also, I am trying to be fair to him. I hope he can convince me that he wasn’t involved with teenage girls while in his 30s.
I liked his comments here better than his Hannity interview and I hope he is able to clear things up:

Odd, but not creepy?
These kind of marriages have occurred for a long time. There is even a name for it: May-December marriage.
Many people don't like the idea but, so far as I know, no US senator ever said Thurmond was too creepy to serve in the Senate. Maybe Hillary did.
The majority of people in South Carolina was ok with it. He served several times after this marriage.
But this really does not have anything to do with what appears to me to be an attempt by the lamestream media and the swamp to take out someone they have previously fought openly because . . . because they don't like him, or his constitutional views, or his religious views, and because his commitment to enforcing homosexual cupcake production quotas is in question.
You are not trying to be fair.
You are still Butt Hurt that Moore beat Brooks in the primary.
Why doesn’t his accuser do an interview?
Ask her to describe the Moore’s house inside and out.
Surely her memory is as you claim Moore’s memory is supposed
to be. Ask her to describe what Moore’s car looked like.

Something to consider...Roy Moore is a judge. I used to be a police officer. Judge Moore is very familiar with testimonies of police officers. Sometimes we would have to go to court regarding older cases and be interrogated by defense lawyers. Defense lawyers are only too aware that time erodes memory and would seize upon that. They would try to find one minor point that the police officer didn’t know or couldn’t possibly remember. Once they found that, they would pound away at that to cast doubt upon the entire testimony. Therefore; the way police officers respond is, “I know I did it that way because this is the way I always handle such situations.” Some of his testimony had to rest upon the officer’s procedures and his pattern of following them in ordinary situations. It would be foolish to trust his memory alone, especially something that happened 38 years ago. I think this is the way Judge Moore responded to several of Sean Hannity’s questions. In any event, I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt rather than buying the Washington Post’s story whole hog. I gave up trusting the MSM long ago. I’ll believe Judge Moore until (or unless) they can prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is guilty.

Sorry but 90%+ of the people I know would consider it odd and creepy for a 32 year old man to be dating high school girls. You cannot say anything to change my mind on that.
Is this because you think kissing teenage girls by men in their 30s is a sin, and you and God, can't forgive kissing sins. Even after 38 years.
Or is it because you think he may now be breaking the commandment against lying, and you can never vote for any politician that has recently broken one of the commandments?
Have you ever in the past voted for a politician you thought may have broken one of the commandments?

I’ve explained this too many times this morning. He was cagey and dishonest about remembering his friend who was 17 and having no recollection whether they dated. If you were 32 and had a 17 year old “friend” for several months, YOU KNOW DAMN WELL whether you felt romantic toward her and kissed her or not. What do platonic friendships between a 32 year old man who has NO ROMANTIC INTEREST in her and a teen high school girl look like? He DOES remember. That is the lie.
And why lie? Even she says they only dated chastely for a few months, some kissing. It wasn’t illegal. Why not admit it? A judge who lies when the truth would benefit him, and his state, bothers me.

No. If your read my posts you will know I’m not going against Moore politically for any reason.
I don’t know what he did all those years ago. I just don’t like the way he was dishonest to Hannity, is all. Who gave him the advice to be so dissembling? The truth would have benefitted him.
Have you heard the then 14 year old accuser on a live TV interview?

Maybe ask her what Moore’s house and car looked like at the time.

U only seem concerned about challenging Moore’s answers.
That means u have already pre-judged Moore, while pretending to

I can tell you with gas-tight certainty I can't remember some of their names, faces, or what street they lived on.
Your opinion is that the Judge was “cagey and dishonest.” That is your opinion - and there is nothing wrong with having an opinion. But you don't seem to have any real data.
Something else you don't have is the “woman's” first hand account - only the disoriented telling of the disoriented story by the Washington Post's reporter.
But you have options: you can vote for a Democrat to go to Washington and represent Alabama because Democrats always have pure motives, always vote for the Constitution, and always tell the truth.
