BEIRUT - Saudi Arabia accused Lebanon on Monday of declaring war against it because of aggression by the Iran-backed Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah, a dramatic escalation of a crisis threatening to destabilize the tiny Arab country.
Lebanon has been thrust to the center of regional rivalry between Saudi Arabia and Iran since the Saudi-allied Lebanese politician Saad al-Hariri quit as prime minister on Saturday, blaming Iran and Hezbollah in his resignation speech.
Faulting the Hariri-led administration for failing to take action against Hezbollah during a year in office, Sabhan said there are those who will stop (Hezbollah) and make it return to the caves of South Lebanon, the heartland of the Shiite community.
In an interview with Al-Arabiya TV, he added: Lebanese must all know these risks and work to fix matters before they reach the point of no return.
He did not spell out what action Saudi Arabia might take against Lebanon, a country with a weak and heavily indebted state that is still rebuilding from its 1975-90 civil war and where one-in-four people is a Syrian refugee.

There is about to be a new and much larger well dug for the 12th Imam for lots of company.
“war in that region is never good.”
But it’s not necessarily bad either...it’s just a way of life there.
Savages.
Lebanon used to be a largely Christian country, until the “conversions” began. The largest number of Christians there are Maronite Christians, considered to be one of the oldest sects of Christians, from the days of St. Paul or even earlier.
Now, it is a client state of Iran. Saudi Arabia is surrounded on every side by Iranian-backed or national Iranian military forces.
Shi’ite against Sunni. Why is there this dread feeling that it shall not end well?
Why is the POS Hassan Nasrallah still breathing?

FWIW, I’d consider the source on this one, Rooters, and if your Google translate is up to snuff, read some foreign language media outlets. Trust but verify. :-)
I feel like it’s been a few years since Beirut was totally devastated by war, so maybe 2018 will be the year.
Iran’s nukes are a big wild card. Historically Iran liked human wave attacks and with the weapons we sold to the Saudis a war should be over in days.
Then again the Arabs could f*ck up polio when it comes to war.
So just this week alone KSA has accused both Iran and Lebanon of acts of war, and has instituted a crackdown on radicals, including the Royal family. Interesting times...
(Good stuff.)
Ben Shapiro: At least 17 princes and top officials arrested in Saudi Arabia. Whats going on there?

“Saudi Arabia is surrounded on every side by Iranian-backed or national Iranian military forces.”
More than surrounded, the Shia minority within Saudi Arabia live along the Persian Gulf, in and among the most productive oil fields. (20% of the worlds proven oil reserves.) And, adjacent to Southern Iraq, which is majority Shia.
Time for Saudi Arabla to use the billions in U.S. military equipment to make a statement. I suspect that the nation of pampered Sheik’s doesn’t have the stomach for a fight.
The Saudis think the rest of the world is as stupid as they are.

Hizbollah and Iran may be writing checks for Lebanon which won't clear. Lebanon will pay a price for Iranian agression in the region, the question is will Iran.
