Democratic lawmakers are renewing their calls for gun control, following the largest mass shooting in Texas history, as Republicans, including President Donald Trump and local lawmakers, insisted firearms are not the problem.
Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., led the charge demanding stricter gun control laws with a scathing and lengthy statement.
"As my colleagues go to sleep tonight, they need to think about whether the political support of the gun industry is worth the blood that flows endlessly onto the floors of American churches, elementary schools, movie theaters, and city streets," Murphy said.
"The terrifying fact is that no one is safe so long as Congress chooses to do absolutely nothing in the face of this epidemic. The time is now for Congress to shed its cowardly cover and do something," he added.
Rep. Ted Lieu, D-Calif., put it even more bluntly. "Screw the @NRA & can you help Dems take back the House," he tweeted.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., piled on.
“How many more people must die at churches or concerts or schools before we stop letting the @NRA control this country's gun policies?” she tweeted.

Saw on twitter last night posts from liberals saying they were PLEASED with what the shooter did because he killed “45 supporters” and as far as the children who were slaughtered..yeah they didnt care because “They were future Republican voters anyway” yeah that is the liberal mindset and they wonder why I refuse to give up MY rights to a gun

Liberals can not handle liberty
Please bear in mind that as the sanctimonious liberal jongleurs belly-up to the media microphones with their screeching, high-minded moralizing tone about the value of human life and the need for gun control, they are the very same sanctimonious liberals who claim that killing millions of innocent and defenseless unborn human beings through legalized infanticide is not only a culturally acceptable practice, but rather a human right.
This is the truest definition of cognitive dissonance and liberal insanity. They just can’t bring themselves to tell the truth and call gun control what they really mean -— “complete civilian disarmament” for the sole purpose of guaranteeing unfettered governmental power and control. Make no mistake about it.
So the democrats get their way even more innocent people would have been murdered. The good guy with the gun could not have stopped him.
Here is a weird thing. No matter how often the leftist say they hate me and want me dead, no matter how many criminals and jihadis they import into the country, no matter how often they shoot people for disagreeing with them, it still doesn’t make me want to give up my gun. Weird huh?
They don’t have the votes so all they can do is rattle their empty heads.
How many more laws must we pass to stop someone from breaking existing laws?
