At least 27 people have died after a gunman opened fire at a church in Texas during Sunday services.
The attack happened at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs in Wilson County.
A police commissioner at the scene confirmed that at least 27 people had died. Several others are reported to be injured.
The San Antonio FBI branch said its agents had been deployed, and there was no indication of the gunman's motive.
The FBI also said that while only one shooter was reported, it was looking into other possibilities.
Local ABC affiliate KSAT 12 reported the gunman entered the church at around 11:30 local time (17:30 GMT). It also said he had been killed in the aftermath.
Photos and video from the scene showed the area taped off by local law enforcement.
A number of helicopters have arrived to transport the wounded, KSAT 12 reporter Max Massey said.
Texas governor Greg Abbott said: "Our prayers are with all who were harmed by this evil act. Our thanks to law enforcement for their response."
He said more details would be released by the Texas Department of Public Safety shortly.

Maggief, a name to check. .... Samir Al-Hajeed
Probably just shock, I personally heard about this minutes after leaving church. My heart goes out to these people but my first thought was how could I prevent this happening to my church family.

Congressman Cuellar, representing a nearby district, says the sheriff told him the dead gunman was posting on social media some days ago. The anchor interrogated the Congressman but that was all the Congressman knew (yes, he is a democrat).
Samir Al-Hajeed appears to be a name attached to a LV shooting hoax. I don’t think those links are at all related to today.

#SutherlandSprings Devin Kelley - 2 pics on FB/now down -friend asked what happened to beard-Devin - long story.
Yep, I just did a search & found it was a hoax.
Also that CNN ran with it :0
A sad state of affairs.
According to Wikipedia (who knew they were a news source?:
“The suspect was identified Patrick Kelley. Kelley was a former E1, dishonorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force, court martialed in May 2014.[6]”
Married? To a XX? A real female?
The feds better question her and not pat her on the head and send her on her merry way like they usually do.

Guess he’s another one who can’t get over Hellary losing. At least he’s now in a safe place where he can’t do anymore harm.
sorry for the confusion, I meant the Congressman was a democrat. From reading other threads here on Free Republic it looks like the gunman was an E1 in the Air Force before he was discharged. E1 is the lowest you can be so either he wasn’t in the Air Force very long or he got busted to E1 before they threw him out of the Air Force. Hope that news conference has more information.
