“I don’t trust that money which is repatriated at 20% would be put to good use.”

It does not matter if it would or not.

No corporation is going to bring money home only to pay 20% for the privilege.

Repatriated money should be taxed at 5% MAX. Just enough to cover the admin fees.

Ryan doesn’t seem to mean what he says and do what he says he’s going to do.

Ya think?

> So its left to everyone else to simply rearrange who pays what <

Agree. And there is no incentive for Fed.gov to live within its means because they raise the debt ceiling like it’s another round of beers with the guys.

Tax policy should be based on how much is needed to run an efficient and effective government, not how do we fool enough people to keep the ponzie scheme alive.

We disagree. If that repatriated money is used to buy out competitors and/or to buy pols to pass laws that favor them, overall it does us little folk more harm than good.

I take no responsibility for the dumb things he says or the dumb things his surrogates say, he added of the GOP nominee and his campaign.

Levin's endorsement comes five months after unequivocally stating, I am not voting for Donald Trump. Period.

These types of endorsements ARE NOT endorsements at all.

As of that date, he was still endorsing Cruz with no reservations.

Levin is dead to me.

I ignore the NeverTrumper Levin these days. I can never go back to listening to him. If he got Trump wrong, what else is he getting wrong?

The problem is that Fed.gov, especially all its massive entitlements and debt, are on autopilot. NO ONE can talk about spending, which is the driver of everything.

True. However the biggest spending is in Social Security and Medicare.

As someone (like most) who has spent his entire working life being robbed of 15% of my pay for Social Security and Medicare, it's a little late to tell me that I have to suck it up. I'd much prefer that those who have disproportionately benefited from a skewed, low capital gains tax rate vs. income tax suck it up.

The only politically feasible way of solving this dilemma is to boost the long term growth rate of the US, which this plan is attempting to do. It doesn't do enough: business and capital gains taxes should be equalized so that real business is as profitable as Wall Street speculation. But it's a start.

No tax bill will past the Senate. Not ever a communists Democrat version then would only add to the debt. President Trump is in trouble unless he works hard on the 2018 primary and finish many GOPe and Democrats in the Senate.

He’s the guy who knows our post-constitutional government will slide into hard tyranny unless We the People take back our government through an Article V Convention of the States.

I read recently that his E.O. regarding trans-gender now has as a suit pending. I may be wrong on that one.

He allowed a 180 day review during which time his military commanders allowed Trannies to re-enlist.

Tax reform is coming in two parts. This is part one.

I love Super Secret, Super Genius plans, they worked out really well for GW, who had hundreds of them.

Today’s Republican Party is the equivalent of the 1980’s Democrat Party. It was never into conservatism and never wanted to be. Reagan and conservative support was a means to an end for the Republican establishment. We were useful idiots keeping them in power.

The Republican senate will further screw up the tax cut and nothing will happen. The left aka the establishment does not want a tax cut or reform, it will die by the likes of McInsane or the Maine sisters of Moloch.

"Without strings attached..." It is the "strings" that have created this problems in the first place. There is no doubt that some of what you say will be true but continuing to meddle in the market will not solve the greater mess in the long run. Much of the repatriated funds will be disbursed as dividends to shareholders, the vast majority of whom are small investors. Buyouts and reinvestment are the natural course of a free market. There are enough laws to prevent monopolies and restriction of trade issues if the DOJ is vigilant to protect against these practices.

And I guess that he didn’t understand that Hillary would JAIL HIM the moment the convention started getting close to reality...understandable, considering how much he HATED Trump.

The only reason Ryan et al are doing this is because they have this ridiculous notion they have to “pay” for tax cuts.

The Left has them by the balls that “trickle down doesn’t work” and that any time we have a tax cut that is “has to be paid for”.

What a load of horse shit.

Reagan proved that tax cuts will stimulate the economy and the tax cuts will pay for itself ... IF they can keep from spending all the new money.

So the “Swamp” is ok with spending over a trillion dollars a year we do not have but is not ok with giving Americans BACK their own hardearned money.

Well - he did say the plan is 85% good and 15% bad - mainly slammed the RINOs for being toe-sucking RINOs worried about nuance over reality.

Trump has promised not to touch entitlements.

So...where does that leave us?
