He may be the first former President to publicly admit he voted for the other party (I could see Grover Cleveland voting GOP he backed the Gold Democrats in 1896 rather than McKinley or Bryan, but if he voted McKinley in 1900 he never said so publicly). For shame HW, for shame. You stink.
The name of this book BTW is “The Last Republicans Inside the Extraordinary Relationship Between George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush” by Mark K. Updegrove
1)Last Republicans? You wish
2)There is absolutely NOTHING extraordinary about a screw up son seeking his daddy’s approval
Yeah, I can’t picture President Cleveland voting for WJ Bryan, given the purge of his Bourbonites by the radical left (I would guess he did vote for the moderate Judge Alton Parker in 1904, and he died right before the fall 1908 elections, so he didn’t have to face the prospect of the choice of Bryan a third time - and just what were the Dems thinking putting him up a third time and for an open election ?).
Also, I’m not sure if LBJ voted for George McGovern in 1972 just prior to his death.
He should have called it “The Last RINOs”.
Because us REAL Republicans are going to make them extinct, one way or the other.
P*ss on the Bushes.
