FBI is closer to drawing a conclusion on motive for Las Vegas shooting
Las Vegas Sun ^ | November 2, 2017 | By Ricardo Torres-Cortez

A month into the investigation of why Stephen Paddock indiscriminately rained gunfire on thousands of concert attendees, killing 58 and injuring hundreds at the Route 91 Harvest festival, investigators maintain that there is “absolutely” no indication the gunman was ideologically driven or affiliated with any international or domestic terror or hate group.

But investigators have made significant strides.

“We do know a lot more (about Paddock) than when we started,” Rouse told the Las Vegas Sun Wednesday afternoon. “I feel like we are going in the correct direction to understand why this happened.”

Asked if investigators have pinpointed a possible motive, Rouse said he believes that, “When we’re done, we’ll have as close to an answer on the why as you’re going to be able to come to without talking with (Paddock).”

But before that conclusion is made and publicly announced, investigators need to ensure that determination comes from evidence and facts and not from speculation or assumption, Rouse said, asking for patience from the public. "It won't be as fast as people would want it to be. This isn't a TV show."

Well, typical poor writing from a “journalist”. Laptop was found in the room. Hard drive from it is missing. Reporter and cops have not clarified if hard drive was in said laptop when it was found, or if it was already missing when cops arrived. Either way, it’s an important detail that one would expect an intrepid reporter to ferret out.

Concur with everyone else. The FBI is not believable. They are democrat political operatives and nothing more. Whatever they say it won’t be the truth, bank on it.

>>With a few exceptions, the FBI is a bunch of lying, liberal crooks.

The number one goal of the FBI - is to protect the FBI - the job,the perks and the power of its employees. If they happen to actually solve any crimes that would be by accident.

They unfortunately have become a tool of the political class, to carry out the wishes of the elites the run the country for the benefit of themselves.

Drawing. Little kids' drawings end up as refrigerator art.

Responding to criticism of the shifting timeline, Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo said during the last public briefing Oct. 13 that information released the days after the shooting, which was what investigators knew at the time, was to "calm the public" and not serve as an official account or build a legal case.

Yada, yada, yada. Just tell us what Paddock's real target was because it wasn't the concert goers.

Jesus is back at work but, from a slip from the head honcho at Mandalay security on Hannity, he’s no longer in security.

Highly suspicious citizenship and the use of multiple SS numbers and again ICE is nowhere to be found.

Remember when the security guard was described as “whisked off for attention at a local critical care facility, after his cancelled presser”...?

Well they called that very facility and NO ONE there saw him..!

I mean no one performed intake paperwork with the guy, no one treated him, etc. etc.

That was right before he drove 700 miles to Mexico and back, allegedly after getting shot in the leg.

NOTHING about the security guard adds up.

WORST. COVER-UP. EVER.

The FBI works for the DNC, NOT America.

Shouldn’t the DNC pay the FBI, not us..?

THAT would be much more honest.

Sure you want to make that bet? With this being included in the article: , investigators maintain that there is “absolutely” no indication the gunman was ideologically driven or affiliated with any international or domestic terror or hate group.

While it may indeed include an Islamic dimension, that obviously won't be the motive they state publicly.

This is my belief after searching aound.

He was aroused in discussing second amendment rights with a friend...He showed this man the gun room in his house.

On October 1, 2015, two men were convicted of killing Brian Terry.

This goes to motive....."If I can do this much damage with a couple of "legal" weapons.....imagine how much damage the 1400 guns "lost" in the Fast & Furious fiasco can do.

Fast & Furious was the crime of the century perpetuated by the government. They ALL belong in jail.

October 2016 Padock begins buying a cache of guns numbering over 30....all legal.

October 1 2017 Paddock lets loose on a crowd of 22,000 people...killing 58 and injuring 500 more.

Motive is about government....and how they get away scot free even though 100's have been and will be murdered via Fast & Furious.

Let's go back to Fast & Furious, charge people and prosecute.

Agree, we have come to have less faith in the FBI than we do the media. A real shame.

I guess saying that he was NOT affiliated with ideologically driven domestic terror groups was meant to exclude FBI and CIA.

This is a horrible crazy theory - what if this wasn’t just a massacre but a diversion for an oceans 11 type robbery draining the casinos vault. Perhaps those first shoots that he is firing over the crowd was to cause the thermite in the car to explode and ignite the fuel tanks. When that diversion failed Paddock improvised a most terrible plan B. To many other things tend to suggest against this robbery theory though.

It takes a while to concoct a good story. Now that the FBI has control of it, if it happened that Paddock was a CIA agent selling arms in a sting operation to ISIS that went sideways, That information would never be allowed to be uttered by authorities. Conspiracy theories of one sort of another are plausible now that the FBI has taken over the investigation because no matter what actually happened and why, we cannot put much credence in whatever the FBI tells us. They are the Government and the Government cannot allow the subjects to know the truth about anything the government has control of. If the FBI says it was an ISIS attack we have to wonder why the FBI would go apparently against the grain, what was it really?

Does the FBI know that we are hanging our fingernails on the rails awaiting an answer?

BTW, we have heard rumors that Paddock was a very liberal guy and that a lot of the guns found in the room were bought and owned by the Anarchists Antifa.

Do you think we will ever get an answer from the FBI.

BTW, the LVPD looked like the Keystone cops to us.

Just maybe the FBI is like the Keystone cops.
