President Donald Trump said Wednesday that he would consider sending Sayfullo Saipov, the Uzbek national who plowed a rented truck through a bike lane full of cyclists and pedestrians on Tuesday, to the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
'I would certainly consider that, yes. I would certainly consider that. Send him to Gitmo,' Trump said.
The president also declared that he is already moving to terminate the State Department's diversity-oriented visa lottery program, which granted Saipov entry into the United States in 2010.
'I am today starting the process of terminating the diversity lottery program. I'm going to ask Congress to immediately initiate or get rid of this program,' he said.
Trump called Saipov 'an animal' during remarks before a cabinet meeting at the White House.
'He came in through the diversity program as you know, and we’re going to stop it,' the president vowed.

This may have been the turning point in the Trump campaign ... when a lot of people suddenly decided that they could vote for him because they finally began to figure him out and understand how he operates.

Trump’s position on Gitmo for this terrorist is totally rational. But ... would it be legal? Really and clearly and totally legal?
If not I would recommend legislation to make it so because the lawsuits will fly if he tries to move this monster to a military prison.
And the Dems will fight him tooth and nail. They cannot allow Trump to interfere with the very successful Dem Grand Plan to Import Legal and Illegal Democratic Voters. That plan is only reason Democrats support these culture destroying policies.

The Constitution provides only a brief amount of time (2-3 days) for the prosecuting body to file charges or release the accused.

I think maybe the the politicians don't really mind seeing a bunch of Americans get killed. How better to kill off patriots, than to let the terrorists do it? Who knows for sure, but they think they are insulated from the violence these MOFOs dish out. I have news for them. They are not insulated from the terrorists at all.
