A new poll in Nevada shows incumbent Sen. Dean Heller lagging behind his challenger, businessman Danny Tarkanian.

The JMC Analytics and Polling survey showed Mr. Tarkanian leading 44 percent to Mr. Heller’s 38 percent. The poll found 78 percent of those who participated in the survey were “certain to vote” in next year’s Republican Senate primary and 63 percent have an “extremely favorable” opinion of President Trump.

Nevada has a Senator named Heller? I honestly had no idea.

Only megalomaniacs run for the Senate and there are only 100. How do you stay invisible?

, I always thought Mormons were good and decent people. Now, even that notion has been “corrected” by these men and others like Harry Reid.

Mike Lee still strikes me as "good and decent", at least vis a vis the rest of the Senate.

“Mike Lee still strikes me as “good and decent”, at least vis a vis the rest of the Senate.”

Unfortunately, he appears to be the exception to the rule today. I lived in Salt Lake City during WWII with my mother, and my father’s relatives while he was in Australia for 4 years with the Navy. In my childhood, the Mormon Church leadership backed people like Richard Nixon openly, and Utah has been reliably Republican forever. Salt Lake City less so, because it has a larger non-Mormon residency. My wife grew up in Las Vegas, where it was said that “It was run by the Mormons and owned by the Jews.” She has ample evidence that the Mormon Church paid for Harry Reid’s legal education ( coupled with money from Nevada brothels). The problem Mormon’s have is that their church wants open borders so they can bring their converts here from Mexico. The Mormon Church is the second largest church in that country, behind the Catholics.

With the Corker and the Flake going home on their own, you can throw FOX News’ bogus “generic poll” results out the window. FOX has swerved way over to the left anyway. They’ll be taking the fake news crown away from CNN in no time. FOX is now just a bunch of Trump bashers. Their “polls” are nothing but far left BS. They probably have Marie Harf and that annoying and obnoxious far left liberal brunette with the whiney voice doing the polling.

Tark actually is a two-fer for federal office. In 2012, he won the nomination for the newly created NV-4, but lost to Democrat Steven Horsford with 42% to Horsford’s 50%. (Crescent Hardy would later sack Horsford in the 2014 midterm election)

I forgot that first race in NV-4. Curiously, the vote was divided on the right in 2012: 8% was split between the very Conservative American Independent and the Libertarian. One reason Horsford was going to be in trouble in the midterms, and promptly lost. Same with Kihuen next year, who has at least one strong challenger in LV Councilmember Stavros Anthony, who ran a credible race for Mayor in 2015.

Polls mean nothing folks. Big data dies last November. Please go out and vote the RINOs out of office.
