Tark actually is a two-fer for federal office. In 2012, he won the nomination for the newly created NV-4, but lost to Democrat Steven Horsford with 42% to Horsford’s 50%. (Crescent Hardy would later sack Horsford in the 2014 midterm election)
I forgot that first race in NV-4. Curiously, the vote was divided on the right in 2012: 8% was split between the very Conservative American Independent and the Libertarian. One reason Horsford was going to be in trouble in the midterms, and promptly lost. Same with Kihuen next year, who has at least one strong challenger in LV Councilmember Stavros Anthony, who ran a credible race for Mayor in 2015.
