Agreed generally, though I don’t think Lincoln was a psycho. Just highly misled, and bit overzealous in using the gun to the head to “save the union”. Nice union, by force. But he still would’ve been much better at rejoining them than the vindictive Congress was (Thad Stevens, anyone?).
