Totally agree. Perfect example of a tax/fee that was not meant to be permanent, but when it meant less incoming $, their promises are vacant.

I had the characters in my murder mystery, published about 20 years ago, using phone booths. I wonder if anyone buying a copy now would even know what a phone booth was. And where does Superman change into his costume if there are no more phone booths?

More unforeseen consequences of the cell phone changes.
On the other hand, as far as your book goes, they can just Google it to see what phone booths were, and sometimes things from a certain time period in the past can enhance a story (such as the dated items in Sherlock Holmes stories).
If you have one, maybe you should post a link to your mystery book (from Amazon, or wherever), and you might get some more sales from FReepers.
