President Donald Trump says he doesn't plan to block the scheduled release of thousands of never publicly seen government documents related to President John F. Kennedy's assassination. "Subject to the receipt of further information," he wrote in a Saturday morning tweet (Oct. 21), "I will be allowing, as President, the long blocked and classified JFK FILES to be opened."

The National Archives has until Thursday to disclose the remaining files related to Kennedy's 1963 assassination in Dallas....

Republicans as in the Bush family. IMO the actions of GHWB in Texas the day JFK was shot has haunted the family for decades. It is reason for the initial delay. — all involved would be long gone. But he is still alive and family so not want him answering questions in his condition. It would also explain their dislike of ,DJT

Yes it was. Saw it when it was released to theaters in 1973, and I don’t recall ever seeing it on TV. (I have seen the entire movie on an Internet site about 3 years ago though).

My opinion is that if there is no conspiracy (or some other bombshells) in the documents, then why were they kept hidden for over 50 years? There needs to be something in them to justify that.

Don’t know that the details have ever been released. GWHB was with the CIA at the time. Some say he can be identified in pictures. If you ask him where he was when Kennedy was shot. He answered he doesn’t remember. Suspect in the least Why not just answer he was there working for security.
There are some days that if we were adults we will never forget what we were doing when history was made. That day is one of them.

The dog that did not bark because the dog knew the intruder well. It was an inside job in other words.
