The National Rifle Association (NRA) claims in a new video that President Trump and his supporters are being subjected to the most "ruthless" attack against a U.S. president and his supporters in the history of the country.
In a video posted Friday to the group's Twitter account, spokeswoman Dana Loesch accuses Democrats and other critics of the Trump administration of trying to delegitimize Trump's presidency.
“We are witnesses to the most ruthless attack on a president and the people who voted for him, and the free system that allowed it to happen, in American history," Loesch says at the beginning of the video.
Scenes of anti-Trump protesters and an image the Capitol flash on screen as Loesch continues, ripping in to Trump's "hateful" critics.
"From the highest levels of government, to their media, universities and billionaires, their hateful defiance of his legitimacy is an insult to each of us,” she continues. "But the ultimate insult is that they think we're so stupid that we'll let them get away with it."
In the video, which does not name any specific enemies of the Trump administration, Loesch accuses "saboteurs" in the government of damaging the Trump administration with "leaks and smears."
These critics, Loesch says, are trying to "drive their daggers through the heart of [America's] future." As she says this, images of NFL players kneeling during the national anthem are also shown.
The video is the latest in a series of provocative and controversial posts from the NRA. In a similar post in August directed at The New York Times, Loesch told the newspaper, "we're coming for you."
"We're going to laser-focus on your so-called 'honest pursuit of truth.' In short, we're coming for you," Loesch said in the August video. "Consider this a shot across your proverbial bow."
Mr. Lincoln may disagree.

I see many similarities between the treatment of Trump and Andrew Jackson.

They are dissing 63M deplorable, bitter clingers. That can’t be good.
I guess the faithful nomination of a Supreme Court justice can change a person’s mind.
She has turned around and is in full support of President Trump now.

They were one of the early Trump Supporters, and went all out for him in the election.
Hard to do better than that in Presidential politics.
The article attempts to describe the NRA as being in support of President Trump instead of being about the support and defense of our nation of laws and republic institutions. The left is completely dishonest, and sadly most people are unable to read between the lines.
