A top Senate Republican is calling for the Justice Department to lift an apparent “gag order” on an FBI informant who reportedly helped the U.S. uncover a corruption and bribery scheme by Russian nuclear officials but allegedly was “threatened” by the Obama administration to stay quiet.
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, is focusing on the informant amid scrutiny of the 2010 approval of a controversial uranium deal with a Russian company. He’s raising questions about potential “conflicts of interest” for Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration, and especially wants to know whether the committee that approved the deal was aware of the FBI probe involving a subsidiary of the same Russian firm.

As I have posted before, Trump is the POTUS, and he can order this. Why he doesn’t is a mystery.
This does not go far enough. By placing this gag order and failing to disclose to congress that an investigation was underway, whoever approved the gag order has committed obstruction of justice.
Start prosecutions here and move up the ladder.

Why to I assume that concerns about super double secret national security methods and sources will tie DoJ’s hands, despite their deep desire to let the guy talk...
In the meantime, Grassley should have committee staff attorneys interview under oath every person on the government committee that approved the sales, and their staffers, about what was presented to them, when, and by whom. Then question everyone involved from the FBI and intelligence community responsible for, or involved in, briefing them.
Wouldn’t it be cool if Assange’s latest dead man switch unleashed documents that proved the Clinton’s solicited and took bribes in this matter?
I can’t remember what the subject was when she and her husband appeared in front of a congressional panel (hearing?) a few years back in support of whoever was being questioned. It could have been some of the ladies from the Patriot movement - I’ve even forgotten that name - when they couldn’t get their applications approved for tax exempt status? Lois Lerner fiasco...well, she was the fiasco.
Maybe someone else remembers that better than I do. I probably have it all wrong but at least they stand up for the good guys and the side of “RIGHT”....

Seems the businessman started a lawsuit as recently as 2016 to recover funds lost in connection to his testimony being suppressed under color of law.

The gag order was placed by Holder's DOJ. Sessions could revoke it at will... but hasn't. WHY?!?!
