Following the FBI’s release of documents confirming that former FBI Director James Comey began drafting a letter on the Hillary Clinton email investigation months before completing several interviews, Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C. said Comey needs to testify before Congress again.
Gowdy, the chairman of the House Oversight Committee and a member of the House Intelligence and Judiciary Committee, told Fox News’ Bret Baier on “Special Report” Tuesday night that “for a number of reasons” Comey should return to Capitol Hill and the committees needed to further examine the FBI memos before he did.
“Whenever somebody decides to charge someone, there are lots of layers of scrutiny. When you decide not to charge someone, there aren’t that many layers of scrutiny but there ought to be at least a couple,” Gowdy said. “The media should do it but also Congress should look at this decision not to charge and whether or not it was made before you interviewed two dozen witnesses, including the target of the investigation, yeah we need to talk to him again.”

Another Hillary “it has been litigated” scandal to file up looking like they are doing something and it will achieve something.
All it will do is serve to exonerate Comey as no charges and jail time will result. This is a charade. Trey Gaudy needs to come clean on this. Because come election time, democrats will laugh at us.

Comey HAD to back off Hildog on the email scandal since Barry was also using private email for official business. In his pea-brain, he wanted to avoid a Constutional crisis. Comey is crooked.

Gowdy did his job as was mandated by the Constitution. Some here seem to have this cooked up fantasy dream that Gowdy was the ultimate power, Judge Dredd if you will replete with subpoena power, the power to form the grand jury, indict, try, render verdict, sentence, drive her to the prison, lock her up and be her jailer.
He did his job. Maybe in your wild fantasy land he was expected to pull an indictment from a democrat administration. He asked the questions and given the answers took his case daily to the press to apply pressure to bring charges. But no that still wasn’t good enough, not enough for some.
Thank GOD those some are in the minority and have no power in our government today because it is plain they haven’t the faintest idea what the powers of Congress are under the Constitution

Congressional investigations typically make actual prosecution more unlikely.
